I like the product, as soon as I opened them I washed them and they are soft and silky. I use these covers for my pillows on my bed for allergy purposes, not bed bugs. I have a terrible dust mite allergy along with everything else under the sun so when I wake up in the morning I am usually wheezing, coughing, phlegmy and eyes are swollen, itchy, red and eczema broken. So anyhow, I got these out of the bags and washed them immediately and they really are soft and non-noisy (at least - less noisy than plastic) they aren't QUITE the same as a regular pillowcase but then why would they be? you're not buying the product to be a pillowcase, just a pillow protector.After a few days my allergy symptoms improved drastically, no wheezing, coughing or swollen eyes. not all my problems were solved but was a drastic improvement from before. However, I find I have to wash these covers every week to keep the same results. (this may be a problem just for me though because my allergies are that bad)so I give it a 4 because they worked as intended for me - didn't last long but still worked. also, the price is a little high but that figures. its something I need.

These are so soft and breathable! I love the fabric it is very comfortable, just like a pillow slip. I held it up to my mouth and blew really hard to see if air could indeed pass through. It is very hard but if you have strong lungs like me you can move a bit of air through, though you would eventually suffocate from insufficient flow ! But at least some air does move unlike some of the other barrier covers I have seen that are more plastic like. Buy this one you won't be disappointed ! I am so picky and hard to please and I felt compelled to write a review. You must wash it once to soften it! My only complaint is that they do not come in a mattress protector that will fit my 18 inch deep mattress!

This cover works nicely but is probably 6 inches too long for my king-sized pillow. Since I have a regular pillowcase that matches my sheets on over this cover, I just fold the excess over before putting the covered pillow into the pillowcase, but this could be an issue for people who would be sensitive to that extra layer of folded cover. Other than that, this cover is great and affordable!

After hearing how bed bugs and other critters can inhabit your mattress and pillow, I looked at local stores for types of bedding protection. Wow, was the price high. Went to old reliable, Amazon.com and looked for a better deal. Withing a minute I was reviewing these covers. Price was far cheaper than the local stores and thread count looked good. Read the reviews, no issues. Ok, ordered a set for my Cal King bed and pillows. Upon arrival, I was concerned they may not be up to quality standards. I was wrong. High quality fabric, solid zipper system, ready to protect my bedding. One suggestion, if you have a Cal King mattress like I do, having an assistant to help put them on makes it so much easier. Covers went on well, tightly fitted to my mattress. A little stiff to sleep on the first week, after that I can't even feel them. I sleep better at night knowing my bedding is safe from sharing with "critters".

~BACKGROUND~After reading so much about how dirty and the types of "things" that are hidden in your pillow, I decided a pillow cover was necessary.~PROS~- Appears to be well made with quality materials- Good value (I purchased for $9.99 in Feb 2014)- Washing does not reduce it's effectiveness- 10 year guarantee- Evolon production states they are environmentally friendly and received health/environment awards.~CONS~I just started using it, but none so far.~TIPS~- Per the directions! Wash the cover first - it softens up nicely.- Invest in a mattress protector/encasement also.~CONCLUSION~Overall I am pleased with my purchase. The pillow cover is soft and I don't even know it's there. For $10 it's worth the money to protect against all the nasties that your can house.

The material and zipper quality are good, as expected. I ordered two. The zipper-end opening on one was sewn shut for a lenght of approx 3" inches, making it a bit difficult to stuff the pillow in. Clearly some sort of manufacturing flaw. Had I purchased from a brick and mortar store, I would have returned for a perfect item. It was a minor flaw and not worth the hassle of shipping back and waiting for a new one. Overall, the product serves its purpose and I'm pleased.

My husband and I both have allergies and had been searching for something to cover our older mattress. Then we saw a segment on the local news about bed bugs and that really upset us. We did not want to get them. I bought this cover which answered all our needs. We are both sleeping better now because the dust from the mattress does not get out and cause us watery eyes and sniffling all night long. We bought the mattress cover, the box spring cover and the pillow covers. There are of high class material and they really WORK. I highly recommend buying all of these items.

I bought this after i was being bitten at night by something, only later to find one bed bug during the night crawling on my pillow. I iimmediately bought pillow covers that protect against bed bugs etc. I am glad to say i have not seen another bug and have not been bitten. This product works as its supposed to. If my pillow had bed bugs in my pillow which is most likely given that i havent seen any after buying this cover, they are starving and dying inside since they cant get out. I wont be removing the cover for a while to give those suckers time to starve and die.Thanks for such a great product. Will be recommending this to anyone suffering from bed bugs.
