Great System!
I didn't measure correctly and had to put one in my cabinet at an angle, but it actually works just fine. Love this whole system. Makes me excited to use my spices!

It's a ferromagnetic plate.
I got a 6"x8" plate down to the exact measurements. The holes measure roughly 5 3/4" and 7 3/4" from each other respectively. Each predrilled hole is just around 4mm big. This small one held up well enough for smaller crafts, having a decent weight to act as a baseboard. This type of stainless steel is ferromagnetic. It's not scratch resistant obviously, so ensure whatever magnet you put on it is smooth. The edges are still a bit sharp from machine cutting, so they would need to be sanded if they are going to rub up against anything you place them on.
