After Using it For a Few Weeks, My Rating Dropped (Please Read)
***UPDATE***After using this product for another few weeks after the initial use, I'm increasingly disappointed with it. Little features that my old MP3 player had are missing. It doesn't keep place in your podcasts/audiobooks which makes sense considering all audio is treated the same with this device. That wouldn't be a HUGE deal, that is if the fast forward and reverse features didn't move at a snail's pace. Seriously, if you try to progress the track, the fast forward moves at approximately twice the speed of the normal playback (and reverse is even slower), so if you want to fast forward to the last 10 minutes of a 60 minute podcast, be ready to hold down the fast forward button for 20+ minutes. So that feature is basically useless. Also annoying is that it will randomly crash but not before emitting an ear piercing squealing noise mid-track. I've been driving in the car playing a podcast to have this happen. If you have the volume at a decent level, this will SCARE THE CRAP out of you. I seriously hope that no one has an accident on a account of being startled by the sound. Also inexplicable is that it mashes up multiple tracks sometimes. Meaning at the beginning of a song it instead began playing 30 random seconds of a podcast I didn't even have on the device. Somehow it got messed up in the transfer, but that's a new one on me.Lastly, the battery only lasts roughly 2 hours. In my car it won't play and charge at the same time without rendering the audio unlistenable. After using it for a month or so, the price and hard drive capacity are the only two things this device has going for it. This was a great idea for an MP3 player in theory; I just hope they work out the many kinks or give up altogether.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I had bought a handful of sandisk MP3 players for somewhere in the $30 range after I kept losing or breaking them. When my latest one had an issue, it was time to replace it yet again, but this time I came across this model. After reading the reviews and noting the inexpensive price, I went ahead and got it.Pros:- it's less than $20, nice- holds 16 gigs which is great for the price point- it's extremely lightweight, almost to a fault.- it has every feature you're looking for and then some (play music, videos (only in the inconvenient AMV format, mind you), radio, photos (very grainy, no point), e-reader, and it even has a few games built in)Cons:-Doesn't read MP3 netadata, meaning it doesn't sort MP3s by artist, album, etc. So if you want to solely hear music from a certain artist, you have to make a folder comprised solely of that artist. Not a big deal, but something I took for granted on older MP3 players I've had.-The navigation system leaves something to be desired. It's not especially intuitive and there's no external volume control for switching volume quickly. All that said, once you figure out what does what it's not so bad. Honestly though I would have paid another $10 or so to making navigating around the device a bit more straightforward.

Not user friendly and where's the volume control at??
I received one of these MP3/4 players for my music while I am outside walking or running and to replace an older MP3 player I had. This is much smaller than expected and hoped it was larger. It was easy to move music onto this unit, provided it's connected to your computer. They really need to redo the buttons and controls on this device. It's really the worst MP3 player I have had in years. And where is the volume control at??? Their menu system does not work as well as other MP3 players I have had and I have found myself completely going in circles trying to get to either MP3 or MP4. When I turn mine on, it does not stay on for more than 2 minutes......an issue I don't like. The only 2 things I liked on this player was it was easy to move music to this unit & sound quality is good, otherwise, nothing good about it. They really have to redo the controls and have a separate volume control switch or thumbwheel on this device instead of using a complicated menu system. Make the menu easier to figure out and make it a little bigger....it would take care of those problems. I used a full-sized headphone with mini plug on it for sound since the included earbuds I don't like....music quality is good....but volume is very high. That is when I found out the volume control is either hard to find or missing. Lucky I did not give this thing a zero or 1 star. The only things good on this is easy to load music to this device and sound quality is good, tho very high volume.

Not at all satisfied with the product itself. Got my requested refund though.
The two stars I gave here are supposed to be ratings for the actual device, they really are not and I don't why I did even two (the device did not fulfill its promise),but since G.G. Martinsen keeps emailing me to rate them; there it is, two stars. The core of the matter is, I received the MP3/MP4 but from the start it did not work, it did not pop up on computer screen--in other words, it was not read by any computer I tried, useless, and it also took me a lot of personal effort and stress to try and figure out why, I even brought a specialist friend to look for the device in the computer, it was not there. Then my friend that knows about this told me that it did not work because it was a knock off.But I have to admit, when I emailed G.G Martinsen and told them that the device did not work and also contacted Amazon demanding a refund, G.G. Martinsen gave me my refund the next day or two days; in this sense they were quick to act. But the truth is that my experience with the device in question was not pleasant at all, because it did not work to download music, which is the whole purpose I bought their product on the first place. This was my experience, but yours could be better or the same, or even worse. Buy and beware

Almost perfect MP3 player.
I must admit, I was a little skeptical with the reviews of this product because they had been given for free in exchange for a review. I am however, glad I bought this MP3 player! It is small and lightweight, and will easily fit in my pocket for running. I have put 159 songs on there, and have only used 15% of the storage! I don't sleep very well, so I use music to help. I played it all night, and the MP3 player was still going after 8 hours, so I can't say how long a full battery will actually last. I had to study the manual to know how to work it, but once I got the hang of it, it's really simple to use. The only flaws I have found are; there is no shuffle function, and I haven't been able to put songs on in order, in their albums, and the earphones are too large for my ears. The sound they produce are fantastic though. I am very happy with this MP3 player!
