LoJo Surplus 2022 Genuine Military MRE Meals Ready to Eat with Inspection Date 2022 or Newer (Pizza Slice, Pepperoni)

My son (16) went on a hike in the Adirondacks with his troop and spent the night. decided he had to have this MRE in his pack. He said it tasted really good, he had pizza with a cherry cobbler. Well worth it he said. He watched his friends with the Walmart packs and he was very happy he went with this and not the others. He gave this 5 stars for ease of use and for taste. Coffee packets came home for me to try.

Always good as an Mre but defiantly a MRE pizza as it has that taste of low quality pizza but otherwise it is very good!

Best thing honestly was the coffee. Second place would have been the oatmeal cookie followed by the cheese and crackers. Nothing tasted great but it will definitely fill your belly if your in a survival situation or in combat and can’t have a fire would have easily been 5 stars but the taste is just not good enough for me to eat when not in a survival situation. Frameless ration heater did not work well at first and had to mix up a few times to get it to activate.

My son watched a history video on MREs and really wanted to try the pizza one so I got it for him. We had it for lunch today.Pizza - Meh... I had heard bad stories on them but it tastes like chef Boyardee with bits of cheese, meat and bread. It could have been worst.Cherry Cobbler - Terrible... Worst part of the whole meal.Oatmeal Cookie - best part of the meal.Vegan Crackers - GoodCheese spread - really goodchocolate protein "shake" - chunky but good.Did not try the coffee.Overall it is what it is. I could definitely excuse the pizza taste but not the cobblers taste. 4 out of 5

Pizza was great, dissapointed I got crackers instead of breadsticks, but it was still tasty with the jalapeno cheese.

Pretty bad experience because of non-functioning Flameless Ration Heater (FRH). Hope you had luck getting a one that works.

Not bad, I don't think I'd want to eat it everyday. But in an emergency like a hurricane here on the Gulf Coast it'll do.

Check the date code, it was listed as 2022 but actually November of 2020. The meal was fine , no issues there but more attention to detail would be appreciated.
