S s s s expresses!
I put the ninty pad in for scale this thing is compact it will easily fit in a small rucksack for travel to a m8s. This will be a great place to play your gamepass games on rock solid 30fps instead of wavering frame rates and 60fps where an unlocked FPS was used textures look a bit better and where variable Res was used will look sharper as Res will mostly top out with less drops. This gens games even have basic ray tracing reflections and shadows as in watchdog legions looks great. This gen we get a real CPU in the box so the UI is very snappy the s does what the X does but at 1440p or mostly 1080p to 1440p at a variable resolution between the two. Games look great and can run at 120fps a few games can run at 4k 60fps like ori and the touryst 4k is an option for developers. The controller has the most important upgrade you need lower latency when you press the button things on screen happen quicker 👍. You can just plug your usb drives with your games on straight into the s and after set up with the Xbox app on your Android or iPhone they will be recognised and you can play your games from there except for X/s optimised games you can store those there but need to transfer them into internal to play. A 1tb card is available but if you have a usb drive moving games over is pretty fast especially via ssd. The internal nvme is fast!! This is a lovely little console can't understand the negative attitude towards it a 5500 Ryzen 3700 rig for 249.99 well that's a terrible deal duh. Other notable additions are a superior d pad with a clicky 8 way action and auto HDR making colours pop on games without native HDR even 360 and og Xbox one's quick resume lets you keep 3 or 4 games juggling at once you can quickly switch between them🤹 all round winner for the money. Man from the future says this after some time with it is turning into a fantastic deal just playing state of decay 2 it was unplayable on the one X okay it looked a bit better but it still looks great but the performance is the kicker it's smooth as hell. Performance is king I can see this turning into a way to play many of the games I abandoned on the one due to being too badly running at the mo not all games will improve this much I know games with unlocked FPS will be the main beneficiaries but I'm sure the back cat team will step in. Decided I won't bother with ps5 and X 3080 2tb gen4 pcie 1kpsu for me full on real ray tracing this will be my console going forward this puppy is what consoles used to be compact efficient simple with some of pcs best features blended in like magic my favourite console hardware since the GameCube🎮🎮👍omg pay 20 some odd quid and you can get dev mode on this and run emulators see modern vintage gamer on toob for details I think you can develop games with the software in this mode👌

Stunning, tiny, silent games machine that far exceeded my expectations.
Awesome value! It's tiny, practically silent when gaming, actually faster than PS4 Pro or Xbox One X as it has much newer hardware than either. It only uses about 70 watts to around 150 watts per hour when gaming, depending on the game and resolution. Much to my surprise it supports 120hz at 4k and 1080p it works well at 60hz 4k with less demanding games running at 4k and modern AAA titles being upscaled but hitting 60 FPS no issue. The only draw back is how small the 512GB super fast PCIE4 internal drive is, you only have 360GB to install games on. So if you plan on having lots of games you will have to buy the Expansion SSD from Seagate, older games can be installed on a USB stick to keep the super fast storage for modern games that need it.If you have a problem with the Series X or S (or PS5) with screen flickering when it switches from HDR modes in video apps then you must update your TVs software to the latest versions. I did have the issue when playing Netflix etc but updating the software on both LG and Samsung TVs fixed it.Don't forget if new to Xbox, buy some recharging batteries for the controller, they are not included. But the series S is basically a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X that is much smaller, quieter has double the CPU power of older models and a much newer GPU that does raytracing and better upscaling to 4k. Its probably the best value games hardware I have bought in 40 years.Don't forget you can use cheap USB memory sticks, HDDs or external SSDs to store non optomised for Series S X games no issue. The internal storage should only be used for titles optomised for Series X S as they won't run from any other storage than the internal drive or Seagate expansion card. The external Seagate superfast expansion card was idiot proof to install and transfer games to. I imagine over time they will decrease in price and increase in storage size as well. So don't let the 360 GBs of usable space put you off the Series S at all.

Brilliant!
The Series S is a superb little machine. I have my gaming PC upstairs but wanted to be able to use Game Pass in my lounge as well. This little fella fits the bill superbly.Storage is limited but expandable via the official card, games can also be stored on an external HDD/SSD. I only tend to have half a dozen games on the go at any one time, so the storage space is fine for me.As for performance - it’s a very capable little machine. I’m using mine on a 4K TV and games look great. Typical resolution for games is 1080p - 1440p running at 60fps. Game Pass is quite simply the best deal in gaming. You can get 12 months for the price of a single AAA game on a certain competitor. You will get ALL of Microsoft’s own games on day one, plus many more besides in Game Pass. It’s truly fantastic value. In the last 2 weeks alone I’ve been able to play the frankly amazing Forza Horizon 5 and now the new Halo Infinite multiplayer, with the campaign to come on Dec 8th.The Series S runs whisper quiet and I actually laughed when I first opened the box- I knew it was small but it’s only when you see it in the flesh you realise how small! Think along the lines of a large box of tissues and you’re there. Loading times are vastly quicker than on previous Xboxes.Great machine, worth every penny. Love it.
