There is not too much to dislike about this product. For outdoor grilling you can quickly sample the meat temperature, as the device samples in seconds. On uneven pieces of meat like chicken this is very helpful so you don't under or overcook the meat. On the device is a very helpful guide of temperatures for you to refer to. Inside oven cooking is just as easy although I usually wear a long oven mit to prevent arm singes. And one more feature is the magnet on back so it sticks to your oven or grill. One warning; do not leave this stuck to the grill as the instrument body does not like water. This also means you should only clean the probe ( I use alcohol wipes but you could an antiseptic wipe followed by a wet paper towel. You should also use the wipe on the body of the instrument body. HAPPY GRILLING !

Reads the temp quickly. Easy to use. Turns on and off by simply extending and replacing the probe.

Well? It’s pretty much as same as others but picked the cheaper one. Good build quality easy to read lcd and seems to be accurate.

I got my oder of the meat thermometer that last one I had really too confusing to use never could get it to work or shut the dam thing off. But giving this review before even using it just by pulling the metal thermometer open turns the thing on when you close it , its shuts off so already I can tell I will not have any issues with this one I will write again once I use it on my turkey and can't wait and have to say this one looks way easier than my last one that I tossed out .

I have been using a regular dial thermometer and never trusted it to give me accurate temperatures leading to over cooking my food. This gadget is completely accurate and easy to read and operate. Just open and its ready to use! This has made a huge improvement in my cooking skills.

I had the old fashioned type where you stuck it into the meat and could hardly read the tiny needle display which over the years became clouded.This was amazing and I can see the temperature digitally, clearly and very large.
