Perfection
Works fantastic, excellent response. I use axis pedals so the space between the beaters is wider than a DW pedal for example, and it's wider spacing makes hitting the sweet spot on the kick tower of smaller pads tricky. My original kick was 8 inches wide, I needed to push the pad over to line up the strike zone so the drum loop wasn't functional. So it would bounce around on the floor despite every trick in the book to solve it.Some might be wary because of the price, but it's well worth it when you never have to think about your kick tower again.

I love this kick trigger
I have used KD-7's, KD-8's and a KD-9 and the KD120B rules them all.... of course it costs nearly the same as all the other triggers combined. I love this kick trigger. I'm using a Pearl double pedal and it a little while to get everything adjusted but I couldn't be happier. This trigger is certainly pricey but in my opinion its well worth it!

When you don't have to think too much about an instrument it means it doesn't get in your way and does its job just fine. It's a little hard to adjust but that's about it.

Perfect Upgrade from a KD-9
I upgraded from my Roland KD-9 that came with the TD-25 set I purchased a few years ago. This head is very quite, does not move about like the KD-9 and provides a great feel to the kick drum. I debated for going for a higher model, but I think this is the sweet spot for those looking to upgrade their existing kit without breaking the bank. I expect to be using this drum for years.

Excellent Kick Drum Experience
I grew tired of the pad-based kick drum sensors wearing out, permanent indentations and no response. Changed to a KD-120 and wished I would have bought one years ago!! Great feel, a more natural response. Be sure to change your drum module settings to the new sensor or you will get considerable "double trigger" events due to increase sensitivity and beater bounce. Don't hesitate to move up to this mesh based kick drum sensor, especially for double pedal application.

Does NOT fit most drum pedals!
The drum sounds good and it works, but I have spent way too many hours over several months messing with the pedal attachment trying to get it to fit right. I've tried three different pedals. The metal bracket you clamp to is either too high off the ground or too close to the drum head. You have your choice of either lifting the whole pedal base off the floor and being passed parallel on the beater arm when the beater contacts the head, or adjusting the legs and exchanging those problems for others, such as the pedal barely clamping on, and moving around while you use it.I don't see how other people are making this work.

Good for beginners
Just what the TD-25KV needed to get the kick drum up to par. Been drumming a long time, stock pedal was to light. Good for beginners, but needed something a little heavier. Very happy with this unit.
