As an avid Xbox gamer, I recently purchased the Xbox Core Wireless Controller in Robot White, and it has quickly become my go-to gamepad for all my gaming sessions. This controller truly exemplifies Microsoft's commitment to providing gamers with the best possible experience, combining comfort, precision, and versatility in one sleek package. The standout feature of this controller is its refined design and comfortable grip. The smooth, matte finish combined with the ergonomic shape makes it incredibly comfortable to hold, even during long gaming sessions. The textured grips on the back ensure a secure and slip-free hold, allowing for precise control and smooth gameplay. The responsive buttons and precise thumbsticks are simply fantastic. Whether I'm playing first-person shooters, racing games, or exploring vast open-world adventures, the controller's accurate inputs make me feel in complete control of my gaming experience. The responsive triggers offer an excellent level of feedback, further immersing me in the game's action. I appreciate the controller's wireless connectivity, which allows me to play from a comfortable distance without any annoying cables. Connecting it to my Xbox Series X was a breeze, and the strong wireless range ensures a stable connection without any noticeable input lag. Additionally, being able to use the same controller on my Windows 10 PC and Android devices is a huge plus for gaming on the go. The built-in rechargeable battery is a convenient feature, as I no longer have to worry about constantly changing batteries. The battery life is impressive, lasting for several gaming sessions before needing a recharge via the included USB-C cable. It's also great to have a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, as it allows me to use my gaming headset seamlessly. Another significant advantage of the Xbox Core Wireless Controller is its customizability. The Xbox Accessories app provides a wide range of options to remap buttons, adjust thumbstick sensitivity, and tweak trigger settings. This level of customization allows me to tailor the controller to my specific playstyle, giving me a competitive edge in games. The Robot White color of the controller looks sleek and modern, complementing the aesthetics of my gaming setup. The overall build quality feels solid and durable, assuring me that this controller will withstand countless hours of gaming without any wear and tear. In conclusion, the Xbox Core Wireless Controller in Robot White is a must-have accessory for Xbox gaming enthusiasts. Its comfort, precise controls, wireless connectivity, and customization options elevate the gaming experience to new heights. Had a few issues with getting it to work, not sure if it was the controller or not (issue fixed)
Alright. So far, I am loving the controller. Now that it's working properly, anyway. One slight complaint with packaging, one real complaint that has to do with the controller itself, while other issues I had lay with the programs I was gaming with. Preface: I bought this controller to replace my old xbox 360 controller for PC gaming. Packaging: The box looked as if it were opened. A bit weird, but okay. Problems: Initially, the controller kept turning on and off, wouldn't connect properly and constantly shown to have low batteries ("critical" according to the Xbox game bar app...) despite having brand new ones put in. This is still an issue, but the battery is actually fine so I blame the Xbox game bar application for not sensing it right. On top of this issue, the button inputs for "A" and "B" were confused for keyboard inputs during in-game sessions (on Steam). Troubleshooting: I tested the controller via Xbox accessories app to make sure the inputs were working fine, and they were. Going to video guides and various forums I found out the battery problem was possibly caused by the clip bits that have the "+" and "-" signs on them being a bit too compressed, and gently pulling them out (to make sure they were holding the batteries securely and properly connected). As for the keyboard-gamepad input confusion, I went into Steam's settings and had to select the "Expanded Xbox Configuration support" and "Xbox Extended Feature Support" and subsequently had to restart my PC. After that, controller worked like a charm, and I am loving it. It was a bit taxing to do so much troubleshooting, I took the whole thing apart three times to check the motherboard against google images to make sure it was okay (haha). But in the end most of the issues had nothing to do with the controller, but just how it was being perceived by other programs. Just goes to show the issues may not be with the product but the stuff it interacts with.

Comfortable and Works Exactly as Expected
The Xbox Core Wireless Controller in Robot White has been great to use. It’s comfortable to hold, even during longer sessions, and everything just works the way it should. The buttons and triggers feel good, and it’s been reliable with no issues. It also works great on PC, which makes it really convenient to use across different setups.

Solid controller, definitely like rubberized stick (heads), textured grips & triggers
Like: Timely delivery. Controller feels solid and I definitely like the rubberized stick (heads), textured grips and triggers. Simple, fast pairing (with Xbx console) followed by a controller update. No issues with initial use and game play. This is a mechanically sound controller. Dedicated capture button is handy (vs old cumbersome SOP). Good price @ $50 (pre-tax) for this white controller (other colors available, but significantly more expensive). Dislike: Upper controller shell edge/seam noticeably "rough" (vs all of my other controllers); feels unfinished when touching/picking up controller in contact with upper edge (sharp plastic) . For actual game play/use - i.e., thumbs on sticks, index fingers on bumpers or triggers - not an issue; but do notice when shifting grip, etc., and contacting seam. Curious if this issue perhaps limited to initial production only or off-spec fit/finish (not caught by QA/QC), or "expected/typical". Also, per photos, the controller arrived in soft mailer, opened same (mailer) and immediately noticed OEM box had already been partially ripped open. Again,, hardware (controller) is functional and no apparent damage (see above) but clearly box received very rough handling &/or was deliberately opened (maybe for the 14 day Ultimate Game Pass code?) If anyone else receives controller with similar problem (ripped OEM box), pls post pics & comments.

Best PC Gaming Controller for Windows
I haven't owned an Xbox since the 360, but I had been using the USB 360 controller for PC gaming since then. That controller recently gave out on me when the connection between the cord and the controller failed. I was then using a PS4 controller to hold me over until this controller came out. The PS4 controller works OK, but I never liked micro USB connectors. The connector on the PS4 controller also started to fail, so it disconnected easily when I moved. It also doesn't have Xinput (Microsoft's controller API) support like the Xbox controllers do. Because of Xinput, most games are automatically configured correctly to recognize the Xbox controller (any of them, not just this model), so I couldn't wait to get back to an Xbox controller. Another (maybe weird?) thing about me is that I don't like wireless controllers. It's annoying to change or recharge batteries when the controller just permanently sits within wired distance of my PC anyway. I've had wireless controllers in the past that I couldn't use without the battery pack inserted, but this one works great with just a USB cable and no batteries. I also like the fact that it uses regular AA batteries, and not a proprietary battery pack. I also love the USB-C connector and have been eagerly waiting for more controllers to have them. USB-C feels less prone to failure than micro USB. These may be strange things to talk about as opposed to how the controller actually feels, but most people already know what to expect from an Xbox controller as it hasn't changed that much. I wanted to add a few points that stood out to me personally. It would have been nice for them to throw in a USB-C cable, but other than that I love everything about it so far.

This is my choice for a general gamepad
This is for the Xbox Core controller (Amazon has a history of mixing reviews of other models in) as they're coming off the production line in 2022. I own most every gamepad that currently exists on the market (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Valve, Amazon). While each has trade offs, knowing nothing about what you're doing with it, this would be my overall recommendation and favorite. +Uses batteries. Greatly prefer this myself. Can use rechargeables or a lithium ion battery pack if you want to. +Best compatibility with all devices and services. Official support on AppleTV, FireTV, Windows, iOS devices, Microsoft GamePass, etc. This is the strongest point for this controller. +Decent d-pad, not my favorite (that's the Playstation d-pad), but definitely a good one. +Easy firmware updates as long as you have an Xbox or Windows PC with the Xbox Accessories app. +Decent build quality. Not the best (again, that's the Playstation). +With latest firmware, very responsive Bluetooth experience for me on my FireTV Cube. Others are also good on this but worth mentioning. It's hard to update the Playstation and Nintendo gamepads if you're a mainly or only a PC gamer, an important point to keep in mind. For a PC gamer or someone who just needs the most widely supported controller, I say go with one of these. I had another one when the Xbox Series X was released and it seems the build quality may have improved since the early days. It feels good in my hands. While I have nearly every gamepad and won't comment on each of their tradeoffs here, because there really is no "best", just tradeoffs and what is "best for you". For PC and general use- I'd look at this and maybe the Luna controller. I do have the feeling the Luna will hold up longer compared to the Xbox Core controller. Longterm reliability is another point to consider that I won't try to judge here, but I will say that I've had best luck over time with my Playstation controllers compared to everything else.

Excelente mando
