This scraper works so well! The scraper is made so that sand can’t get stuck in the blade and scrape your glass. It’s quick and easy to clean away any of the gunk that builds up on the glass without having to reach in and get your hand all wet. It’s easy to switch sides of your tank as seen in the attached video. It’s not too big so we just leave it attached to the side of the glass and it doesn’t block too much of your view. Although, the magnet makes it easy to take it out if you want.

Stop thinking about it and buy it. If you have gotten this far to be reading a review you need it. It’s the best scraper on the market. It works amazingly well, Makes glass invisible. The blade takes diatoms and other algae off like it’s a lightsaber, don’t waste your time with cheaper ones. This one is more expensive for a reason. It’s the best!!!

I’ve had aquariums for more than 20 years. I’ve been using those long handled aquarium scrub brushes for years. I really didn’t enjoy cleaning my aquarium glass. The scrub brush didn’t do that great of a job and it dripped water everywhere. Plus it was a pain to store. Then I was watching a fish keeping video on YouTube and saw the Flipper. It looked so much more effective and easier to use/store than what I had been using. I bought one for my 36 gallon bow front aquarium. It seemed a little pricey for a glass scrubber but after using it for awhile, it’s worth every penny! I initially had a difficult time figuring out what the written directions meant but that might just be me. I was able to find a YouTube video that explained what was meant by rotating the handheld part to get the scrubber part inside my aquarium to flip. After that it was super easy to use. I store mine inside my tank which is convenient. The razor side does an excellent job at removing those little specks of algae that stubbornly stick to the glass the scrubber part removed biofilm easily. The magnet is strong and I’ve never had the part inside my tank float away. My glass has never been so clean! I liked it so much that I put a smaller version for my 10 gallon tank on my Wishlist and got it for Christmas. I really wished I had learned about the Flipper sooner. It’s a much better way to clean the glass than what I had been using.

Pretty unintuitive at first. The "flip" works by switching the handle from top to bottom, not by switching from front to back. Only really works when transitioning from one side of the tank to another. Mine does not float and slowly sinks. However, the functionality of the device is good. It cleans and scrapes algea very well. A little overpriced for what it is.

I have 5mm thick glass, and this magnet maintains good contact and is easy to move. Still, I wish the magnet were a bit stronger. Overall, I'm happy with it—it's a very high-quality magnet.

AMAZING SCRAPPER!! I got a cheap scrapper that was $13 a few years ago. It was much smaller. It was magnetic, and I had to tie a string on both pieces while cleaning. I've used it a few times inside the tank, but I've barely used it. I decided to get this one and it's much stronger and more effective. This size covers more surface area and it comes with a scrapper. I found it difficult learning how to flip the inside in the beginning. All I did was detach the outside piece from the glass so the inside can float a bit. You basically want to lose some of the magnetic attraction. Then I flipped the outside handle 180 degrees. Once I did that, I brought the inside piece closer, and it began flipping to the other side. I was able to use the scrapper side. I repeat the same steps to use the other side. I got used to it. I recommend this scrapper to help clean your tank.

I know these flippers have a pretty devout following in all honesty you're paying for a name in my opinion having six plus tanks it's okay nothing really to write home about I find I have to run the scraper up and down in a few spots again and again considering the one that I have is a smaller one and was my first one I really did not feel like shelling out a ton of money for a scraper when I could go buy one with a handle for a quarter of the price magnets are strong I really wish it would come with replacement blades you only get the one so again if you have fish tanks you may know about the subscriptions you never knew you signed up for IE change your filter every month versus going and buying foam for the experience folks out there every opinion is different this is strictly my opinion I don't think it's worth the amount of money that they charge for flippers does it work yes does it scrape algae yeah does it do it in one swipe and leave it perfect no not any better than any other scraper that's out there for half the price so far it has not scraped or scratched any of my glass tanks or the two acrylics that I have so there's one plus
