Mix It Up!: Board Book Edition (Herve Tullet)

I bought this for a play setting following a personal recommendation and, although I am (slightly) more enthused by the same author's 'Press Here', which I bought at the same time, this is still a fantastic little book.Whereas the other book appealed across the age range at our setting, this one was definitely of more interest to our younger children, but as they are its intended audience that is not a critisism. The interactive nature of it really appealed to them (and a sneakily slipped in bookmark that enables you to open the book quickly at the 'page after the page they've shut it on to press the colours together' is a definite help in that regard), and it is a really fun way to teach colour mixing.Our older children have really enjoyed reading it to the younger ones too. This and its 'Press Here' companion have been fantastic additions to our little library in that regard: children sharing the pleasure of books, not just by listening to adults read to them, but by engaging and interacting with each other, is a joy to see.When you have a three year old clutching her face in her hands, jumping up and down, shouting 'Awesome' every few pages? Best recommendation ever for me!

Simple story about colour mixing. Little girl loves doing the actions throughout the book time and time again! It’s “magic”

This book is brilliant and has been a firm favourite in our house for many months! It's wonderfully interactive and teaches children about colours and mixing! Even though we have read this so many times my daughter who is now 3 still can't wait to turn the page! I bought the other book in this series but this one is by far my favourite!

What a great book! Super for young children as they have to rub, shake, point and place their palm in certain places for 'magic' to happen on the next page! Of course nothing is really happening but all the young children I've used it with have been enthralled and it's become a favourite book. Great for teaching about colour mixing too....no mess! Herve Tullet does it again! Imagination rules....buy this book and have fun! Purchase and delivery all smooth and in good time too.

A great way to show how to mix colours.

Such an amazing book! Really interactive; helps little ones (and big ones) learn about colours without the need to get all the paints out every time! We're an artistic family and just think this is brilliant and a must have!

Très bien pour pratiquer l'anglais tout en jouant. Le texte est facile à comprendre et meme si nous ne sommes pas doué en anglais les images parlent d'elles même. L'enfant peut suivre avec son doigt, toucher, appuyer pour faire évoluer les pages au fil du livre.
