Could be better
This is the second Siwode katana I have and I'm a bit disappointed as the blade has some type of stain on the metal going the entire length of both sides, the menuki on both sides of the tsuka is loose, tsuba is cheaply painted and it rattles in the saya. I have been able to remove stains with about 4 hours of hand polishing. The only really excellent part of the sword is that it came very sharp and easily sliced rolled wet newspaper. I would not buy another, and in the future will look at other brands

Would recommend to anyone except an actual master!
First thing! I'm no master or metal worker! This is way better than I thought it would be! If they told me it was 1000$i wouldn't be surprised. Beautiful, sturdy, sharp and just awesome. Watermelon, apple, water bottles, just cuts like butter. The minute I can talk my wife into it, I will order a couple more. Would love to replace all the pictures hanging in my house with swords! At this price for value I might be able to!

This katana is well worth the 💰!
This katana is well worth the money! It is beautiful, nice and sturdy. Habaki fits very nice and snug in the saya. Sword came packaged well to prevent damage and well oiled. It is very sharp and cuts through cardboard and fruit with ease. Of course this isn't a sword that would last long in battle, but it is very good for light to medium targets and display. Happy with my purchase!

Not really Damascus steel
I like that it came sharp with the Damascus steel pattern. I don’t like that’s it’s not really battle ready as it has chips out of it after dueling another sword. Not really Damascus steel either as evident by the chips taken out. I guess I had wishful thinking when I saw the sword advertised as being crated with Damascus steel. Would of cost a lot more. Hilt is sort of lose too and makes a rattling sound.

My Husband Loves It
It is very well crafted, from the detailing of the menuki & the tsuba everything looked just as pictured. We're testing the blade this weekend & will update if anything changes but so far he loves it ^.^

really nice for the asking price
seems to be a very well put together sword. the fittings are tight. it however with mine was almost to tight when the blade fits back into the saya. you have to pull really hard to get it free. the blade was sharp but not razor sharp a little honing and it will slice paper no problem. good sword for the price

Heavy, sturdy, sharp, and overall good sword
Arrived with no problems, pretty sword, very sturdy and very sharp. Was a lot of fun to play around with for a few days but the reality that I spent a 120$ on a sword started to sink in. Not my proudest impulse purchase but if you have thought a lot about weather or not you want a sword, I would reccomend this one.
