while it’s beautifully made, sturdy and with a satisfying weight in one’s hands, I find that the mouth is a bit too small and filling it up 3/4 of the way as is the tradition exhausts my yerba supply way faster than the two remaining gourds I still have from Argentina

I enjoy traditional mate in a ceramic mug. Many are too small to be practical. I like this one.

4 stars bec. I like it, love it is a stretch for most material things. I thought it was a little rough when I first took it from its box - I'm used to it now. I do like it, it's different and a nice change from using a cup or a mug. What more can one say...

After having a gourd mate cup go mouldy on me after just one week, I searched for a mug that would be a lot more user friendly.Ceramic mug is glazed shiny black inside and matte brown outside. Because it is glazed, it doesn't need to be cured, and won't go bad on you.It's a good weight and size in your hand.Shape works well for maté making/drinking.

The gourd is great: perfect size and shape, great material and pretty cool. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the straw is not the best quality (some leaves can get through) and the price is a bit high.

First time trying Yerba Mate. It's all good, maybe little too small for me, have to refill quite often. But otherwise, it's great. Recommend.
