Plethoric detail, affordable and fun.
Absolutely gorgeous Legends scale figure. Core Class figures are ideal for younger fans, as not only are they easy to transform, they retain features and amazing details of the larger scale toys, for a fraction of the price.

Missing parts , shocking
£20 for a tiny transformer that ended up having missing parts. Shocking

Tiny.... and a bit disappointing to....
This toy would be better if it was a scout class but it is barley a legends class sized. If it was a 3rd or less of the price, or came in a set of 3-4 then yeah, but I would give this midget a pass until the price goes down......yeah, like that will ever happen.....

Good little figure
Across the various Transformers continuities the name Vertebreak has been used a few times. However, this particular figure is a brand new character invented for the ‘War for Cybertron’ range. In some ways this figure is a bit of an oddity. In terms of physical appearance, it is a skeletal representation of a dracorex. As such it resembles the Fossilizers of the ‘Kingdom’ toy line. However, it doesn’t utilise the Fossilizer system and thus separate into component parts that can be reassembled. Instead it functions as a normal Transformer, transforming in the traditional manner. It is also part of the Core Class (a new size class of Transformers toys introduced with the ‘Kingdom’ range). How exactly the Core Class works in this case is maybe a little questionable. The bulk of the Core figures seem to be intended to be smaller and cheaper versions of popular characters that are also available in the ‘War for Cybertron’ toy range in more scale accurate sizes. Rattrap, the other Core Class figure that doesn’t conform to this categorisation, is clearly meant to be much smaller than most of his contemporaries. Presumably Vertebreak is meant to be small as well, but with no appearance anywhere she might be considered to be of equal size to other Core figures such as Optimus Prime and Soundwave??? The figure is, therefore, of a small size but it is incredibly detailed despite this; probably as well detailed, if not more so, than some of the full size Fossilizers. The altform is quite impressive and makes for a decent little dinosaur skeleton, its colourisation, much like Paleotrex, provides a convincing look of weathered bones. The robot mode is somewhat spindly but that suits its diminutive structure. It is, probably, a more convincing robot form than that possessed by the Deluxe Class Fossilizers. In terms of transformation there is a decent degree of sophistication for the size, although the robot mode legs are merely the dinosaur legs straightened out. It is also an enjoyable enough process and helps to make this a likeable little figure.
