Carmine County All Natural Madagascar Vanilla Bean Paste 25 g

Amazinggg product!! Came across Carmine county through a friend. The vanilla bean paste has a unique rich flavour to it and is super easy to use. Being a chef and knowing how hard it is to find the right natural extracts I would say 100% value for money!!! The qahwa extract and vanilla bean paste are my favourite so far.

While the paste has the scent of vanilla I was disappointed with the flavour or should I say the absence of flavour. I was really looking forward to using vanilla bean paste in my bakes apart from the black vanilla specks look in my bakes i did not get any exceptional flavour. Despite adding 1.5 tsp of the paste to just 60 gms of cream cheese (the recipe reqd 0.5tsp of vanilla extract) I could not get any rich vanilla flavour. It would be better to invest in vanilla pods which give a much richer flavour.

Almost blandNo tasteThe entire bean is just blended into a coarse paste.

Though pricey for thr small quantity it was a disappointing buyThe paste seems to be of the outer bean pod rather than the vanilla seeds that actually carry the flavourThe cake came out with no flavour of vanilla...Would rather have bought cheap artificial vanilla ! Atleast that's easy on the pocket
