Dremel 628-01 7 Piece Drill Bit Set

For general-purpose usage, these are excellent bits. I initially purchased this set a few years ago when it had a different packaging and case for my own old Dremel. Having had good experiences with them, I purchased another set of these for my girlfriend to go along with the Dremel 4000 I got for her. These bits are made from high-speed steel, and a good choice for general use. High-speed steel is a highly wear-resistant steel with good strength and reasonably good heat resistance. With good performance for a reasonable price, it's a great material for higher-speed applications such as usage with a rotary tool. For general usage with materials such as wood, plastics, composites, aluminum, and mild/thin steel, these are great. They have a fast start and they do a good job resisting slipping. They hold up well but aren't terribly expensive if you happen to break them (or would prefer to replace them instead of sharpening.) They work well with the Dremel, but also work well with other drills with a chuck design that allows smaller bits. I agree with others that when using these with a standard drill, prolonging the life of these bits means using the fastest RPM setting and to let the speed do the work. My only complaint is that these are more on the rust-prone side than bits of other materials. However, that's expected of most HS steel and an occasional coating of any good rust preventive (I use Corrosion X) and this is a non-issue. I just wanted to note it as a heads-up given it is very easy to prevent rust, but much more of a pain to remove once the rust has already occurred. Beyond occasional usage on mild steel that is thin, I would not advise using these to drill steel because this will accelerate bit wear and may generate so much heat that the bits themselves become damaged. For this usage, I recommend using drill bits made of cobalt steel, as they are designed specifically for drilling hard metals. So overall, this is a great little set. It's versatile, it's affordable, and it's well-made.

Absolutely the highest quality drill bits specifically for the Dremel Moto-Tool. They are durable, sharp as all get-out as they should be, and work in almost all materials; I've never tried them out on anything such as concrete or anything that hard, and don't plan to do so. These are great for woods of all types, acrylic plexiglass and other materials of that hardness. I also like the fact that they come in their own little case so that I don't have to worry about losing them. The sizes are fantastic from the tiniest one that is great for miniature sized screws, to the largest one which is great for a small regular screw. It's also great for use if you use a center punch to start and mark where your hole is going to be drawn, to start the hole itself so that the screw (or nail) doesn't get set off center. Just be certain that you hold your Dremel straight up and down, and you'll get a terrific alignment.

It appeared to me that every time I started a crafting project, I would always end up having to purchase a new drill bit to fit a specific one of my Dremel tools. I found this 7 piece Drill Bit Set and I am happy that I did. This set has allowed me to use them with my cordless, corded and my flex shaft by simply switching out my Collet. The price was very reasonable for named brand. I also love the case that the Drill bits come in as it prevents losing them since they are small items. I would highly recommend this set of bits. This is a wonderful buy at a really great price.

These are good drill bits. I use them in low power manual and power dremel tools for making small holes in plastic and white metal models. I cannot tell how they would hold up under a normal power drill as the RPMs I use are very low with very gentle horizontal pressure on the drill bit tip. They are great for the small models that I use them with.

I bought these back in 2020, it's 2023 and they are still going. Great product and amazing quality. Haven't even rusted or broke. I fully recommend!🥰

We needed new blinds in the living room. My husband was trying to drive a screw straight into the sheet rock and testing the limits of his vocabulary while doing so. I asked why he hadn't drilled a pilot hole first. Because the drill wouldn't fit in the tight corner of the window box, he said, steaming in frustration. "Why don't you use the Dremel?" He blinked at me. "I got drill bits for it." He blinked again, jaw dropping with astonishment as he realized that there was an easier way. "I'll go get the Dremel." I bought the drill bits to drill tiny holes in little objects so I could turn them into hanging ornaments. I never dreamed of a practical use for these adorable little bits. The blinds look good.

These are great little bits that work right out of the box with the Dremel. We drilled a bunch of seashells without noticeable wear on the bit. PROS: Work as advertised. CONS: The smallest drills require the purchase of the smallest chuck. Worth it if you use them.

Katastrophe! Erst eine Stunde erfolglose Recherche im Netz, was womit kompatibel ist. Ohne Ergebnis. Superkundenunfreundliche Website etc. Passt natürlich nicht zu dem Gerät, was ich dazu bestellt habe. Dann 30 min in der Warteschleife beim Dremel Support ohne jemanden zu sprechen. Die Bohrer sind superscharf und stecken sehr fest in der Verpackung, beim Rausziehen hab ich mir die Fingerkuppen zerschnitten, kein Warnhinweis. Dremel muss seine Kunden wirklich hassen. Schlechtere User-Erfahrungen kann ich mir kaum vorstellen. Und dabei hatte Dremel für mich immer einen guten Klang. Böser Irrtum!
