TimexIronman Men's 100 Lap Flix

I already had 5 of the Timex FLIX watches first bought around 2009/2010 (I think they are that good) and ordered this one recently as another spare when on a Black Friday offer.I bought this model of watch because I like large LCD display watches and the strap is comfortable. The controls for setting the time, date and other functions are easy - intuitive if you are used to digital watches. I think the quality of this watch is much better than many of the retro Casio and [even] retro Timex LCD watches.The one weakness of this watch is water - I "lost" one to a dip in the sea in 2017. Was that my misunderstanding of water resistance vs waterproof? I am not sure, but just bear this in mind. I still absolutely love these watches and the number I have will almost certainly outlast me.

I bought this to replace a well used Timex expedition watch I have had for years. This is fairly slim and light on the wrist, Very clear large display and the Timex quality and functionality I have come to expect.Great everyday watch, mineral glass so no scratches.

Buttons affected by clothing.Just a gentle touch from a sleeve changes the display.Infuriating!Just bad design, spoiling the ship for a hap'orth of tar.I used to wear the earlier designs many years ago and this was never an issue.Other than this, ot seems to be living up to expectations.Easy to read - when it works - seems waterproof so far.Large display is great for us oldies, easily visible without glasses.

This is my second TIMEX. My reasons for getting the TIMEX Ironman Triathlon originally were firstly for the huge time display. My eyes aren’t 20/20 anymore but even so, I can see the time clearly without glasses on even in low light. My second reason were for the 5 alarms. I need three alarms but the additional two (5 alarms in total) on these TIMEXs has come in handy a couple of times.I’ve had and still have and use) my first TIMEX for much longer than 10 years, a great watch. My reason for getting this, my second TIMEX is the strap is breaking. Replacement straps for these watches are near imposable to find and the one I found for sale on the internet, costs around £17 plus postage. WOW, not cheap ! I have to say the watch and strap is being used hard, I am surprised and impressed it lasted this long with the abuse I am giving it. I am so impressed, that I decided to rather get myself another new watch instead of just an expensive strap for an old warn watch.My reason for not giving it a 1 star review is the 5 alarms, 5 stars for the 5 alarms. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is. . . . . why O why put very small control button lettering (see around the face of the watch) in dark green on black on a watch with a huge time display so that the wearer can easily see things ? Why change it from easy to see white to unreadable small dark letters ? See attached photo of my old vs the new watch. Note this photo was taken under very bright light.

Excellent watch, simple and fumctional. All my previous versions of this watch were only replaced because the straps broke, the actual watches were still functioning, the last one i had was on its 2nd battery.

It is a marvellous watch but mine died when the battery needed changed.I think the watch shop didn't replace the gasket, so it was no longer waterproof,water got in (you could see condensation after the battery change after a day),and it died. Certainly they didnt do a water proof test.So i think its a great watch but if changing the battery try and find a good watch shop to change it.Mine only lasted 10 months.

Compact but very clear. Easy to set up and use. Good quality but a bit more expensive than justified by materials and functionality.

Had Timex ironman watches for years, good basic watch.
