I bought this for my mother-in-law, we like to do our own advent calendar as a Christmas tradition. She loved it! Especially how it lights up! It's so beautiful! The only con for me is the boxes are so small, barely bigger then an inch. So it's hard to find miniature size things to go in it. But it's beautiful and it comes with extra batteries for the lights. Love it!!!

I ordered four of these. Two were perfect. One the lights do not work and one the trees in the setting were broke off. Tried to message seller but the message kept linking to a different seller. Not sure what was happening but that is not on the seller. The one with the broken lights also had some breakage around the daily boxes. The kids will love these, just wish they were all the same quality.

I found this and thought it would function very well as an advent calendar for my pets to celebrate. Some of the drawers stick a little bit but other than that the quality is good and the lights are a nice cozy touch.

The advent scene was pretty, the compartment boxes are a bit smaller than I had envisioned but adequate for a hershey's kiss or two. Had to return it as contact for lighting was broken/unattached and not functional. I would have re-ordered but was afraid it wouldn't arrive in time for Thanksgiving at which time I'd hope to stock the drawers as a gift for grandkids.

The light is broken only works if you hold it together or put a strong piece of ducktape to hold it in place, but then it just looks tacky. Even then the tape doesn't work very well, opened one of the box slots, and the front piece of the box fell off.... could use super glue I suppose.. but I would rather return.

Didn’t expect too much, was really impressed with design, craftsmanship, quality and packing. Beautiful gift. Thought it was made out of paper and carton, but it’s all wood. Very sturdy. The only thing, needs to be aired a bit. The numbered compartments had a bit of a glue smell when new. Was gone after a few days.

After reading the reviews I wasn't sure how it was going to be but I must say it's GREAT. The craftmanship isn't perfect but you're also only spending $30.00 for something that's going to be out for maybe a month and a 1/2. How perfect does it really need to be?

The packaging seemed solid enough, though because of the way it was taped it looked as though it may have already been opened once and then returned and sent out again, but I can't be sure.The box itself was rattling a lot when I took it out, which should have been my first clue something was not right. When I opened it, two of the tree sections spilled out along with a few extra batteries. (See the first and second picture). In addition, the outer area of the box was not in great shape. The edges looked battered and had paint chipped off (see third picture.)The Pros:* The extra batteries are appreciated* The magnets are a nice touch for each drawer* The lighting works and looks nice (though this shouldn't really be a pro since that's just what it's SUPPOSED to do!)The Cons:* It arrived damaged - I'll have to glue the tree sections back in place and I won't be able to make it look as it is in the picture provided by the seller because one of them is painted white on the wrong side.* Several of the drawers take quite a bit of "finessing" to get them to sit in their respective slots. I'll likely have to sand the sides down a bit so they go in smoothly.* The exterior was damaged upon arrival* The graphics on the outside are not painted on (as I thought from the seller's pic) but rather gigantic stickers which are already peeling and bubbled in places.* The "track" lighting is tricky to operate - once you turn the lights on, you have to tuck the switch behind the scenery. Once you've done that, they're a BEAR to get out again, but there's nowhere else to put them short of letting them dangle hideously down the front. All this needing to move around the switches causes that first part of the lighting track to pull up - I'll have to glue it down properly with some superglue before putting it to any kind of real use.* There is no clasp to hold this shut for when the holidays are over - this is a minor one, but as I bought this specifically for the perceived ease of storage, that missing detail makes things a bit more complicated.The TL;DR? Overall, it's just "meh" and you are GOING to have some flaws and at LEAST a few minor issues with yours when it arrives.

I bought three of these, two had broken pieces of the scenery, but they were so nice I simply glued them back in place. The problem is not the craftmanship it was simply the fact that they put the extra (4) batteries loose in the box which during shipping broke some of the finer shapes off. Suggest either secure the batteries in one of the drawers or do not include extra batteries.
