Fantastic product
Great as a backup. Obviously not as good or comfortable as my primary AA T3 but works good as backup and eliminates an extra octo line. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Great for streamlining.
Courses are now teaching how to share air if your buddy has one of these. It was super easy to put on. Just loosen the plastic retention nut on my zeigle and slip this one on. Remember to put the cap on the inflator valve though before washing. Breathes just fine as atomic products do. Comes with several nut and spacer changeouts for all dump valve hoses. This is just so easy to do. YouTube videos make ya think ya gotta take off zip ties etc. not always necessary. So try the one for one change out first

Great inflator and pretty good safe second
Lets face it none of us use our safe seconds as our primary regulator but this combination does a pretty good job. Its not a balanced second stage but it is comfortable enough and eliminates one hose. I highly recommend this. Very easy to install, even if you have a dump valve at the top of your inflator tube

Breathes very well for a secondary
Breathes quite well for a secondary, about the same as some rental primaries that I've used. Breathes a little better than the Aeris Air Link that it replaced.Just make sure the divers you dive with know that that is going to become your air source in an emergency and they need to use your primary as their reserve when using this. Thats the only complication with it, but knowing that, it performs everything you could ask of it very well.Nice service intervals too (3 years/ 300 dives), and I like that with Atomic regs you can simply send in your octo and have the factory refurb it for a reasonable price (about the same price as a local dive shop, but you know its being done 100% correctly)

Great air 2 but a minor issue...
I read the one negative review of the SS1 and got a good chuckle. I have two of these and absolutely love them. Only problem that I had was that one started free flowing a little on a dive trip so I disconnect the air supply and orally inflated. That worked fine for that dive but wouldn't have if I had a buddy with an air out emergency. I sent it in for repair and the shop who was authorized repaired it and sent it back. While it was in the shop I used my other one with no issues. When I got the freshly repaired one back I took it to Belize for some dives and sure enough although it wasn't free flowing from the mouthpiece it was slowly filling my BC and I had to continually purge to stay down. Luckily the repair tech at the dive shop was able to take it apart and fix it. I called the dealer I purchased it from and they said to just send it back and they'd either replace with a new one or credit me back. So, I'm sending it back and getting the replacement cause I love them so much. I have them attached to both of my first stages of my two reg's. The only reason for the four stars is the hassle on the two dive trips and thankfully I wasn't out on a live aboard someplace with this happening. Had that have been the case it'd be three stars at best...

Outstanding quality
I've used this product for hundreds of dives, and it does not free-flow or leak. It provides lots of air at depth, so it would definitely be useful in an emergency.

I’m a scuba instructor in love this. One less hose to worry about.
I have used this product for years and love it, I can say Its a must have for scuba diving. Well worth the money spent.

The best upgrade you can make to your SCUBA gear.
I cannot say enough good things about this regulator. The ability to remove an extra hose from your scuba set up is an absolute pleasure. Breathing off of this safe second feels just as good as my high-dollar primary regulator, and I have no question about the safety, quality, and reliability of this reg in an emergency. Highly recommend to fellow divers, instructors, and students.
