I Love Being Me! (Step into Reading)

My 5yr old daughter was eager to read this book with me as soon as it arrived. The cover is very cute, as are the illustrations of all the little black and brown girls inside: each little girl has a different hair style, many of which my daughter has had done to her hair before so it was very exciting for her to see. Love the positive message as each little girl expresses what she loves about herself, whether it be her hair, skin, toes, interests, etc. Uplifting, fun book for little ones and easy enough for them to follow along to, identify sight words and other short words, and re-read once and again on their own.

Beautiful and sweet. Showed a variety of hues of young blk girls in all their glory.

I read this book with my daughter. Really good book

Purchased as a gift for a kindergartener and she loves it. It's an easy read and self-affirming. A little help may be needed for beginning readers.
