Advertisement say N/C which means “normally close” but when I had already installed the product, it is the “N/O” version which means “normally open”. I tested all five with a multimeter afterwards and found they were all “N/O”! Very disappointed with the advertising! ALL BEWARE! Test with a multimeter before installing (which I should’ve done at the beginning!!!)

The media could not be loaded. The lights came with everything I needed to mount, route and switch with several options for each. Installation was straight forward and required little more than a dash of common sense to perform. However, anything Beyond a standard install has its challenges.As an example, I did not want to use the provided, physical on/off switch. I preferred a magnetic switch so the unit would come on when I opened the cabinet door. While this was accomplished easy enough, the lights use very, very thin (22 gauge) wire. Splicing, connecting and soldering proved difficult. If you take your time, it's very doable. Just know, it is finicky and there isn't much "wire slack" if you make a mistake. As you see in the video, the lights as well as the secondary purchased magnetic switch works very well.

Nice that these magnetic switches can be configured in NO or NC. Screws included for hard mount installation, no sticky pad on backside of them. Little trick with these is to use double sided tape for initial install to align them, when set right then drill for screws. Good replacement for worn out magnetic door switch on my coach.

Item used to switch LED string lights in a cabinet when the door is opened or closed. Works well and sensitivity to magnet proximity is not critical.

These will work great for the instrument box light on my boat!

Sadly, one arrived DOA out of the package, the second was intermittent and the 3rd works very well. Magnet must be properly oriented North/South with reed switch and trigger distance is slightly more than 10mm. Again, the one that works - works very well with excellent repeatability.Quality control from the manufacturer needs improvement.
