Good price and good quality
My solar project is on a 16’ cargo conversion. I installed two panels on the roof. I needed this gland in order to make solar cable intry to the utility space i have under a cabinet. This gland has held up nicely after a year. I do recommend placing a small screw in both the front and rear of this gland to help secure to the metal roof. On warm days the gland wanted to lift up after the RV roof sealer got hot. The two small stainlesss screws did the job. I do recommend this gland if you are adding solar panels on your RV or conversion project.

Works great when used properly
Works very well when used correctly. Read the instructions and use the right wire and I recommend using a trace amount of Dow Corning Silicone Vacuum Grease.

Works with 8awg wire.
Worked great on the roof of my RV. Half the size of the OEM one installed on the other side. Was able to fit 8awg wire through the connectors without issue. Started installation by removing a recessed light in the bedroom that was 8 inches from a wall. Lights just release and hang; they are held in with 2 spring clips. Reached in with my hand and felt a plastic vent pipe going to through the wall to the roof. Went on the roof and drilled a 1/2 inch hole down through the roof and through the 2x2 stud going across the wall. Ran 2 8awg wires down and pulled them out through a small hole I made in the wall under the sink. Ended up ripping the whole thing apart and made the hole 1 1/4 inch to be able to use this wall as a chase. Unit installed on the roof with butyl tape and Dicor. Fastened it with 4 screws. Looks great.

Good quality and no leaks
I installed this gland on a new install of two 100 watt solar panels on the roof of my fiberglass RV. It looks nice, is good quality, and I expect a long service life from it. The 6 mm cables that shipped with the panels worked fine, but are clearly the largest diameter that will fit. 6.5 mm would be too big. I attached and sealed it to the molded fiberglass roof with general-purpose silicon caulk, having to weigh it down flat with the roof while the silicone cured. It has seen several rainstorms since without any leaks. It is designed as three major components: the enclosure body and two compression fittings that the positive and negative cables enter through. You must attach the fittings to the enclosure. My only negative is that it was tricky to keep the rubber sealing washer on each fitting from slipping out as the nut on the inside of each fitting was tightened.

Good item arrived in time. Used this to bring two WiFi co ax through the roof of Motorhome. Works fine. Did drill some holes around the flange and glued and screwed to the roof. WiFi coax are very small to able to pass the connectors through the gland and then fit the unit to roof. Just fits under the antenna stand off bracket as well.

I bought it a couple of years ago and it is still going well. Not leaking and everything still looks good

Purchased for a solar system installed in an outbuilding. Seems a good quality item, cable glands tightened well on to 4mm solar cable.

Just what I needed

Fitted this to the roof of my motorhome to run 2 cables into the van. Easy to assemble and fit. The cable entry glands don't close down as much as I wanted, but they seem to seal well, especially after applying sealing goo on everything. You can't take any chances when you drill into a motorhome roof! Overall, I was pleased with this, it looks good and everything fits well.
