Cocoon CPG30BK GRID-IT!® Accessory Organizer - Sun Visor Organizer (Black)

I looked for a long time for a product like this. My wife got this off of my Amazon wishlist about three years ago and it is the best feature in my truck's interior. The size, spacing and strength of the straps are well designed and hold everything I want and if my memory serves me, nothing has ever fallen out - even during hard braking or off-roading. I now own two - one for each visor. Easy to install and you get a nice snug fit. I've had this in my F-150 and Toyota Tundra and it fit well in both vehicles while still leaving clearance for the vanity mirrors to open - you know, if you're in to looking at yourself. I highly recommend this organizer.

This is a great concept for a visor organizer. I purchased this to use in my squad car because I got tired of using the cheap Walmart ones. They would quickly stretch out and all of your items fell all over the place. With this one, I am able to keep my gas cards, business cards, and other items neatly in place. The visor is made up of various sizes of elastic bands running vertically and horizontally. Each of the elastic bands has rubber grips on the inside of the bands to help keep your items from coming loose and moving around. With this type of configuration, there are endless ways to set up your gear. This is the best visor organizer that I have owned.

I ended up just putting this in my glove box (got the idea from another review listed here). In my car (2013 Subaru Impreza Sport Limited Hatchback), there is not a lot of vertical head room, so I was constantly hitting my head on the items that were attached it when adjusting positions and getting in and out of the car. Plus, when this was attached, my visor would not fold up all the way, and consequently the visor hang down a little lower because it could not sit completely flush with the headliner. Also, it is a bit of an eye sore to have all that stuff just hang off your visor. So it is now in my glove box. But I love how I have everything so organized. Everything single item I keep in my glove box is attached to the GRID-IT. Anytime I need anything, I just pull out the GRID-IT and I can quickly and easily get what I need.

This is my "umpteenth" visor organizer from a multitude of companies. Most go bad after a fairly reasonable period of time, in my opinion, in that the pouch that would hold my reading glasses just goes womperjawed and soon my reading glasses go sliding out every once in a while. Our "retirement cards" get bent after trying to shove them into a slide in and my pens, oh heck just forget trying to keep pens in a visor. So, I decided to give this thing a try. It arrived a few days ago. I immediately decided I was going to like it, but still remained a bit skeptical until I got it inlace. First I put in a pen, then thing I use to work my Notepad, then went in the business cards, then my reading glasses. Holy Smoke....everything fit perfectly and while driving around since, everything stayed exactly where I put it !! Now I am generally the "co pilot" in the car so I take care of things such as writing pads, reading maps etc. And since my husband and are in rounding 70 we still like using a "flip phone" rather than a smart phone and the flip phone fits into the visor and stays there. Not sure what a thinner "smart phone" would do. Because of the crisscross straps on this visor I get to put things exactly and I mean exactly where I want them NOT where somebody designed a pouch or strap where THEY thought my pens should be. The straps accommodate pretty much any size thing I have to put in the organizer and again, so far, they stay put. I am extremely happy and can honestly say this is THE best visor organizer I have ever had. It fits perfectly, thanks to velcro, on our 4 Runner visor which is one of the thicker ones, so that is great too. Heck wish I could figure a way to get this type of thing on my refrigerator front (to put in the various cards, notepads and pens I have in the kitchen). If I can figure a way to get it on my frig I'll get another one LOL

This visor organizer for a vehicle is very nice and versatile. I bought for my daughter who plans to drive thru all 49 states but after seeing how it works I plan to get me one. It will hold just about anything you need because of the way it is designed. Can't wait to get me one

This pictures make this look great but here's what happened in real life. I put it up, super easy. I loaded it with a flashlight, pen, garage door opener, and another item. Nothing really that heavy. Then it started to bend in the middle and and obstructed my view. There is an easy solution, put a third strap in the middle.

Tried it out in my car for a while. It's good for stashing random stuff up there. The downside is that depending on your car, sometimes it will prevent you from flipping the visor all the way forward. Also, if are you tall and your head it closer to the visor, then it may be uncomfortable or even unsafe (I had tall passengers experience this).

EDIT: Just noticed today that one of the visor straps is torn halfway through! This is sad. I've only had the visor for a few days now. The visor itself is nice, but the strap is flimsy. Reduced from 5 to 2 stars for this defect. Will contact the company.EDIT 2: Returned the visor. Will purchase another.Original review:I was actually in the market for a MOLLE visor (military webbing for those who don't know), but Original SOE Gear only makes them for large "approved tactical" trucks (I rock a Ford Fusion lol) and Jones Tactical is not taking custom requests due to backlogs. So Grid-It it is. And I must say it is definitely a quality item, excellent fit for my visor and the webbing is strong enough to hold everything I put up there but flexible enough to easily remove any of it. Currently I have stored on there: pen; a few 3x5 cards for notetaking; Fenix E05 flashlight (amazingly bright!); and a cheap Kershaw Tanto Blur. Will also probably add one of those ultra-tiny Moleskine notebooks to start keeping a vehicle log for mileage, service, etc.All around this is a great item and I may buy one for all my visors.

Funciona para lo que es que es acomodar cosas, y he visto otras mucho mas caras que imagino que acaban siendo lo mismo , vale mucho la pena si ocupas temer todo bien organizado, yo lo uso en un portafolio y quedo perfecto

Awesome product. Placed two if them in my Vanagon and they are great for storing all the little things that float around the vehicle. Glasses, registration, pens, usb plug etc. Absolutely perfect!
