Worked THE VERY FIRST TRY.
If you have ever tried to solder wires to LED strips, you know how much of a pain it can be. Bro, THESE WORKED THE FIRST TIME.I bought this kit thinking "I only need 2 clamps to work. 2 of 5 have to work, right?" LoL. I have tried other clamp down gigs that just didnt work. This wire feels thick and snug. I actually NEEDED pliers to close it! I had to peal back the mount tape and the epoxy on my lights, and triple checked my puncture spot in the clamp. Don't push your strips all the way into the clamps. You want the little teeth right under those copper contacts before you clamp it, and dont move it as you clamp. Those little teeth poke right thru the copper! Tricky Dickey stuff. This kit does the trick for the gap between under the bed and the headboard, FIRST TRY, NO PROBLEM. Like a dream, dude. For real. Saved me so much time, hassle, and I didnt burn myself or anything with a soldering iron!!5* from me, bro.

Does not work very well
I usually find solutions to when things don't work out as advertised but i gave up on these connectors because they don't work very well. First they say that is works with siliconized waterproof strips and also they add that you don't need to strip off the silicone cover for the clamp to close. The strip side clamp will not close with the bulkiness of the silicone covering. It may work with the non-waterproof type.Second, the wiring is very difficult to line-up on the wiring side. Maybe someone with a lot of time in their hands and more patience and better eyesight can make it work but it was not easy for me and it would only work for some wires and not for others. If you want to take a chance go for it.These connectors could have been better designed. The strip side if it is to work with waterproof strips, needs more room to allow for the silicone cover. On the wiring side, it would help if the cap would have four holes instead of slots, this way the wires could be inserted initially and stay there until the cap is compressed to lock them down. So |I would not recommend these.

Great product, poor guidance
LOVE the product but I had to kind of figure it out on the fly because the instructions weren't clear. If you understand what they're supposed to do and you have experience with problem-solving and workshop projects, you'll be fine; if you're a first-timer or new hobbyist it might take you a few extra minutes of trial-and-error. Either way, it works GREAT and it's a hell of a lot cleaner and easier than soldering!!! Pro tip: It will appear as if once it's closed it's closed for good but with a little delicate razor blade wielding you can in fact open it up again without breaking it. Will DEFINITELY buy again for any further projects of this nature.

Do Not Buy!
The cable is standard but the connectors do not work. The wire side of the connector is not sharp enough to cut through cable to make the connection. The clip must be re-opened, remove the cable and manually cut through to the copper wire then return to the clip. If still no connection repeat. Opening the clip too many times will break it. The tape side of the clip that is suppose to puncture through the tape light does not make a reliable connection and in my case no connection at all. Like many others I ended up soldering the wire to the tape light. I could have bought the wire anywhere for a couple of dollars and saved total of $14 bucks instead of buying this ridiculous kit with useless connectors. Don't make the same mistake that I did. There are better connectors out there. Buy them not these.

Great care and patience is needed to make a good connection.
I had a hard time getting good connections. There are no test point, so when continuity tests fail (on power or ground only -- no way to test the data line since there is an LED/controller in the loop) -- the only way to verify the issue is to start releasing the connector (very difficult, very stressful to the LED strip). Recommend reading other reviews and comments about peeling the backing (completely off) before using. I ordered a different vendor and will try them on next project. I may even choose a different style LED strip that doesn't require this kind of connectivity.

4 of 5 connectors worked fine
I read the reviews and took all precautions on these type connectors that were listed. I stripped the coating off the led light strip, made careful cuts on the light strip, etc. I had a series of strips connected by the wire included in this kit. The barb that penetrates the light strip does not always align with the center of the contacts on the 10mm wide light strip. However, most did touch a portion of the contact and worked. I did have to strip the wire because the blades that are supposed to penetrate the insulation did not always make good contact. Overall, OK but not great

Not really easy to uses or useful
Should be a simple and easy item to use, but could never get it to close down correctly. I read the dimensions and reviews to make sure these were the correct ones. It was just way easier to solder some wire on and shrink wrap the ends. I bought them because they were cheap and worth a shot. The wire was good.

Wire Connectors Fail
These wire connectors are impossible to get to function correctly. Multiple tries failed to complete the circuit which means the next set of LED tape lights don't get electricity. Total Failure. I wanted to complete my job so I ended up soldering the wire to two pins which turned out to be very easy and successful. Buy wire but forget buying a kit containing these connectors.
