Shoelace licorice is a fond memory from childhood, and I have purchased this brand several times. I am happy with it. It isn’t really substantially better than twizzlers, but the shoelace form is irresistible, everyone immediately begins tying knots with it. Red licorice is primarily artificially flavored, you are paying a premium for the form, with black licorice it is worth paying more for better quality.Candy was fresh and arrived in a nice box.

Item came in good time but twice now it is the wrong flavor in the box. I ordered grape flavored laces. The box states grape, but the item inside is licorice flavored. Money down the drain. I will NOT be ordering from them anymore.The first time a couple of year ago was great. This is very disappointing because it had been very good flavor and texture.

I really like Gustaf's black licorice and my other seller didn't have it in stock so I ordered this version. Taste is great, but the laces are stuck together in a mound unlike when I have gotten it in the past. Weather wasn't warm enough to cause it here locally.

I've only found the red laces that I grew up with at specialty/tourist shops, years ago. Until now. A single bag stuffed a huge glass penny-candy jar. My 3 adult daughters visited, tasted, & raved about the flavor, texture, size, jar, fun to eat + tying knots, bows, braids, just like I [once] did. All were amazed that I grew up with them [as in how could anything 'old' could be so cool now?]. BTW, red is the only one I buy, as it comes with memories, & why I bought them. Best of all, they now make new memories. Buy the candy; the fun is free!

This takes me back to when I was a child. Itdoest taste exactly like what I had 40 years ago, but it is very good.It arrived quickly and was very fresh.
