Fantastic Donut Recipe Book - Great to Gift with a Mini Donut Maker
Mini Donuts: 100 Bite Sized Donut Recipes to Sweeten Your Hole Day is a fantastic book to get to accompany your mini donut maker. We purchased the Babycakes Mini Donut Machine to gift along with this book and it was such a hit for our kids that we’ve been buying it for friends’ kids as well. The recipe book is full of easy to follow and very unique donuts. From the iconic “Homer Donut” to classic donuts all the way to innovative drink donuts, this book covers a wide range of flavors that would appeal to kids and adults. The recipes come with instructions so the donuts can be made in either a donut machine or in the oven, and are easy enough for my kids to make on their own without too much help. If your kids can bake cupcakes, these are on the same level since these donuts do not require to be deep fried. The book is full of beautiful photographs and some recipes has tips and info on various ingredients. Overall, if you’re looking for an easy to follow donut recipe book, this is great one to consider.

Yes, you can actually make these!
The book starts out by explaining that she wanted to focus on ingredients that the average busy cook would actually have in their cupboard. Sure enough, these are actually cookable by mere mortals like me.Each recipe even includes directions for both mini-donut pans and electric donut makers. Donut pans produce light, airy, cupcake-like donuts, and the machines create thicker, denser cakelike donuts - both are good, so you can start out on the cheap with the pan, and then move up to the electric maker if you're addicted. The photos are lush and appetizing. The recipes you expect are there - blueberry cake, sour cream cake, etc - but there's ideas I never would have imagined. Fast canned-biscuit fried mini donuts that are ready in minutes?!? Salted caramel mini donuts? Sweet potato marshmellow mini donuts? Brown butter bourbon mini donuts? Wow - I'm impressed.

Good recipes, but not as many as promised
Santa brought this for my 10-year-old daughter, along with a mini-donut maker. We have tried 4 of the recipes so far. Sure, they're not the crispy donuts you might get at a donut shop, but these recipes produce some tasty bites -- and quick with the mini-donut maker! Big hit!Pros:-Easy to follow recipes -- my daughter can essentially do this activity alone-Recipes are forgiving -- using 2% instead of whole milk or light sour cream instead of whole milk, for example, hasn't been a problem-Non-yeast recipes, as well as those for yeast and fried donuts-Pretty tasty -- and cute, too!-Good instructions for different cooking methods (e.g., baking in donut pans, electric donut makers, frying) and clearly marked recipes so you can figure out which method a recipe requires-Nice photos and design-Common ingredients used for the majority of recipes-The book itself is small -- kind of mini, but not so mini that it's difficult to use -- and put together nicely, with high-quality paper and a hardcoverCons:-This is titled as 100 recipes, but that is not accurate. There are 100 items, but many of the donut varieties are actually the same basic donut with various glazes and toppings. I suppose it's nice to have the batter recipe handy to the photo and glaze recipe so you don't have to keep flipping around, but I'm not sure it justifies calling this 100 recipes. I have not done a real survey, so perhaps as we use the book more, I will find that there is more variation on the batter recipes than I am seeing so far.Overall, I recommend the book, especially if you're getting an electric donut maker, because it gives a good visual tour of variety of cakey bites you can make and the recipes are forgiving and simple to follow--but I give it 4 stars for fudging on the title count.

Perfect for a Gift
Nice book. I didn’t read the recipes but it’s nice quality and was a good add on gift to go along with a mini donut maker. My neice was really excited with this book and all of her donut related gifts..

Awesome recipes, common ingredients but imaginative results
This is a great, recipe-packed book for donut maker machines, donut pans, and donut frying. All the recipes have common ingredients that you can get at most any regular grocery store but that doesn't mean the recipes are boring. You do get classics like regular cake donuts, but you also get Milky Way Mini Donuts, and Cherry Streusal Mini Donuts. You'll find donuts you like in here no matter what your taste. There's a large number of recipes too, 100 to be exact, so you're sure to find something. It has a nice tips section for all the different ways to make donuts in your donut maker, which is what I purchased. Definitely a worthy purchase,

Tasty delicious simple recipes
This book is awesome. I found out about it by taking it out from the library, then loved it so much I had to buy one for myself. The recipesare all simple and use ingredients that you already have at home. I have tried about five of the recipes so far and they are very tasty. Ihave used an electric mini donut maker and used a mini donut pan in the oven. I have not tried deep frying yet but I have heard that is thebest way to go. The author writes like she is your friend next door, this book will become a favorite one that you keep going back to to tryone more kind of mini donut.
