Great for finger exercises
My kid's piano teacher recommended this book for warmups. It has really helped her build her skills.

Super Helpful for All piano students!
Many of my students are in either book two or three. The primer level is excellent once a student knows how to read music off the staff. A must have for all piano students! From the primer Fingerpower book to level 6, these are a must have for all piano students. While this series has been around for some time, I've only recently discovered it. I find it's helping my students with dexterity, using the proper fingering, sight reading, timing and more. The exercises are fairly short, but as students progress, so does the level of difficulty in these great books. I have been teaching piano for over ten years, playing for many more, and think these books should be required for all of my students. Also, they don't get bored with the execises because they aren't too long. Excellent and very helpful in all aspects of piano playing. With carpal tunnel, I find these books very helpful at working my hands and fingers. Super Helpful for All piano students!

Excellent scale books!
I've been giving lessons for 20 years and these are staples for my students. I used them when I took lessons and see great progress using for the improvement of students' hand dexterity.

Works like it should
This book was required for one of my kids. The book came clean and she states it is useful and easy to follow. Piano skills are non-existant so I can't speak to the quality of the writing. But the book itself is well made. It seems to progress logically. And maybe most important it looks like it will hold up for more than 6 months. Also many of the songs in this book are performed in Youtube videos so I can check if my daughter is doing it right.

Ever reliable- the basic Fingerpower books provide timeless techniques in an untiresome way. I use these books between curriculums bc they are slightly more difficult than the level they say (Schaum moves much faster than Bastien or Alfred- and much, MUCH faster than Faber). For example, for the Level 1 book, the student should begin that after completing Bastien or Alfred's Level 1 curriculum. Alternatively, it is often useful to substitute the Fingerpower book for the Alfred technic book entirely bc the Alfred technic books are merely excerpts from the Alfred Lesson assignment for that same week and do not- in my opinion- always provide for actual technic exercises. If you substitute Fingerpower for Alfred Technic, always go one level below for the Fingerpower. For Faber, it would be 2 levels below.

Highly effective
Even though my son may not enjoy the exercises, he is certainly mastering his skills and increasing his ability with them.
