Eco-Tidy, Letter and Document Sorter, Compact Upright Space Saving Paper Organizer

This document sorter/organizer really helps speed up the filing process. It’s well made...built sturdy...should last quite awhile.It costs more than some of the other sorters I looked at, but after using it, I’m confident it was the best choice and worth the cost.

This sorter came into my life about a year ago, and I have cut my grading/entering time significantly. This is not one of those, it sounds too good to be true gimmicks that too many of us fall for...it’s amazing!! It took some training and practice for my middle school students to be able to efficiently turn their papers in underneath the first letter of their last name, but they succeeded in about a week!The sorter is very sturdy and fits easily on any size student desk, ledge, or tabletop. It has alphabet letters, numbers, months, and many ways to possible use this with your classes. Since I’m in a middle school, I had to use some black electrical tape to cover some of the categories on the sorter, such as dates, because they were trying to turn their papers in on that day’s date instead of by their name. Silly middle schoolers...So now comes the glorious day that all your students have turned their papers into the sorter! You are now able to slide all the papers out and they are magically and wonderfully in alphabetical order!! Then, you can grade those already alphabetized exemplary pieces of student work; and because they’re still in order, you can just go down the row in your grade book and enter them in! Once you're finished, you can sit back, maybe with your favorite beverage, and revel in your newfound free time - then figure out what the heck you will be teaching to those little lovelies tomorrow. I tried to organize papers for filing. It worked.

My home office desk is a disaster landscape of piles of paperwork to be handled: bills to be paid, client work, food recipes, instruction sheets, etc. - I think you get the idea. I go through the piles to sort things of the same type together, it is easier to process like items at the same time. But, it is easy to loose track where similar items should be sorted together because they get buried under other grouped items. It gets discouraging.Then I saw the Eco-Tidy Letter and Document Sorter as an Amazon Lightning Deal. I checked other sorters to compare, and found this sorter to be much more expensive, but its design seemed to be better because it was made of plastic (as compared to pressboard or cardboard) and its dividers are much wider.So now, I am plowing through my disorganized paperwork to be sorted more efficiently and with much less discouragement. Highly recommended!

Don't know how else to sort a large number of documents. this tool is outstanding

Very unprofessionally built not made for everyday walking around use

The supports for the flaps is flimsy and my unit arrived broken.The first flap, for "A" has a very small peg that fits into the support and it was broken off rendering it unusable.All of the flaps are the same and the rest were intact.Didn't return, not worth the headache but would have really appreciated having an intact unit given the price point.

We use this product in the office and I needed to get an extra one for all the extra work we are now doing
