Small chamber be careful
It's a compact, did think aboue sending it back, but got use to filling the chember all the time but could become a pain if you are ironing for a family, but it's a one person iron.

Ironing now isn’t a chore
I bought this iron hoping it would be as good as my last one it was good when working then packed up suddenly. It’s so hard trying to make the right choice what one does the other doesn’t so I took the plunge. It’s got 3 settings eco, normal, and turbo the first time I used normal it ironed well it took a little getting used to not being able to rest it on it’s heel and just leaving it flat on the ironing board I even went and made a cup of tea and sat down for a while no scorch mark whatsoever. I did notice a couple of drops of water on the floor and soon realised this was coming from the ironing board. That shows you the amount of steam it omits I tried the turbo wow I can’t see you need it that often. Then on my next iron I tried the eco it was perfect I zipped through the ironing in no time perfect steam and no drips and no wet board. So normal and turbo are more for heavily creased or thick items like denim. The iron adjusts from silky items to cotton with ease it’s as if it knows what it’s pressing. It has a holder that clicks the iron in place to carry about, it’s easy to fill and empty it doesn’t have a removable water tank it doesn’t need one. The sole plate being ceramic isn’t heavy and thick like some. This iron is light to carry even when full. The electric cord has a Velcro fastening the steamer cord slots in around the iron it comes with a stand for descaling. If you want any iron to last!! use de-ionised water especially if you live in a hard water area. it’s worth those extra few pence you can buy it on Amazon or the supermarket no more brown or white marks. What’s not to like so far it’s brill.

4 months in and Broken. I would give this 0 stars if I could.
Bought this to replace my old steam generator. Worked Ok to start with although instructions not the best as much of it is in picture form. Troubleshooting section is average. 4 months after buying (and only using once per week) the steam stopped working properly and wouldn’t steam at all if held vertically. i followed all instructions on de-calc and filling of water tank etc to no avail. So called customer services. This may have been one of the worst customer service calls I have ever had. The call centre is in the Philippines so there was a huge language barrier and for someone like me who wears hearing aids it was almost insurmountable. I had to be talked through a ‘reset procedure’ (which is not in the instruction manual) which is very difficult if you just cannot understand the person on the other end of the line. It didnt work so they offered a repair. Now i have to wait for an email so i can send them my details so they can send me a box which takes 5 business days to get to me. Then I take it to the post office and wait another 15 business days for the iron to be repaired. I asked for a refund but got a firm no (It is only 4 months old). I will not be buying this brand again and recommend you DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE STEAM GENERATORS. Phillips - you can do so much better……

Waste of space
Bought this to upgrade from previous Philips steam generator, this iron produces steam when it wants to it takes me roughly 15mins to iron one shirt as have to keep going over and over again and still not good the only time it produces plenty of steam is on a calc clean that’s it . Don’t waste your money have always bought Philips products but feel this has let them down now need to buy new iron as Philips want to repair but then still need to buy an iron Whilist being repaired so double the cost when choosing this one

The repair man said it was rubbish!!
There seemed to be a problem with this iron straight away but I tried to carry on with it as eventually the steam arrived and it was ok?I decided to return it to see if there was something to repair but they said there was nothing wrong with it?When I spoke to the guy from where it was being repaired he basically told me it was a load of rubbish, even though it cost me over £100! He said I probably needed to spend over £200 to get a decent one!!So obviously he doesn’t recommend it!!

Very impressed with this
I have been a user of steam generator irons for over a decade now. While this was on offer, I decided to upgrade my existing Philips HI5914 which had been good, but found wanting in a few areas. Thankfully, this has been an immediate step up and is well worth the money. The first thing that impressed me about this sleek and attractive unit was the fact that it had a lock button to hold it in place while it was on the base - this might not seem like much, but it's such a clever idea for storage and carrying. The power steam cable also wraps neatly under the unit, so it take up much less room than previous models I have had. I liked the non-stick base - it looks like it will keep clean longer than others I've owned. I would recommending de-ionised or distilled water immediately if you are in a hard water area; this model has an anti-calcium function, but I've found that my last model quickly clogged and spat despite having the same thing. The unit itself is light and, thanks to PerfectCare system, doesn't need a temperature control. This was a real winner - I was able to iron from denim to silk immediately! It saved much waiting for the temperature to change or those moments that you forget you have it on a high setting and then accidentally iron your wife's silk blouse...I tested this model out by leaving it on the ironing board and it does exactly what it claims - no burns! Terrific bit of technology. The steam pressure is very impressive, more than adequate for most home uses (I have a handheld steamer for garments so I don't require vertical steam). In summary, I'm delighted with this machine and it runs so smoothly when you use deionised water from the get-go.
