Terrific flashlight
I have been using these flashlights for years. I have one in every room in the house. I have given them to my grandkids for their bedrooms as well. These flashlights are bright, small and easy to handle. I am thrilled that they are now available in L.E.D. The flashlights were especially helpful during the 5 days after Hurricane Irene when we had no electricity.

cheated
Dear Sirs, I commented that the shopping experience has been bad enough, the product purchased on their website is different than the product delivered by Ron's Home and Hardware. According to the offer bought five Garrity Life Lite LED flashlights and arrived at my destination five Life Lite Duracell flashlights that has me quite upset and I feel cheated.Reply to this mail I would appreciate to know what happened and why the company published products than those that send.I await your response.Rodrigo Diaz C.

Great flashlight, but switches itself on in your bag
I bought this flashlight for the small emergency/first aid kit I keep with me.It came highly recommended by my first aid teacher, a former ambulance EMT who has been in hundreds of serious emergency situations and knows what does and doesn't work in the real world. This is his favorite flashlight because:+ it's nice and bright;+ the 7-year battery shelf life means your flashlight will GO on;+ the LED and big battery means it will STAY on (for 150 hours or more!);+ the flat base and sides mean you can set it in a variety of positions and it won't roll;+ the yellow-case model is easy to find in low-light conditions, or if dropped;+ it is rugged and durable (the LED means no light filament to break or burn out).In practice, I found that the big, easy-to-operate switch is a little TOO easy to operate. The light tends to switch itself on in my backpack or purse. I ended up taking the strip of red plastic that that keeps the light from coming on in the package, and rubber-banding onto the flashlight -- not a great solution.I'd like to see Garrity come up with a version of this light that has a switch more like the Duracell LED Flashlight with Carabiner Clip. That switch is firm enough it has never come on in hundreds of hours in my pocket, yet is easy to operate even with gloves on.That said, this is an excellent emergency flashlight, and I recommend it.

Brighter than I thought
Most of the LED flashlights you get in this price range are much dimmer. We like how these are shaped and stand up. I can not speak to battery life yet, haven't had them long enough but so far so good.

u can't replace the battery; environmental impact alert!
You can't replace the battery. I'm stunned and shocked as I realize how irresponsible this product is ... and how deceptive the marketing. "Lifelong warranty," "batteries ...never need replacing" They never need replacing because they Can't be replaced; the flashlight is sealed. Which makes the lifetime warranty absurd, doesn't it! (note the warranty excludes the battery). But worst is the environmental irresponsibility here. Each of these flashlights sold will be thrown away when the battery is used up !!! Will the recycling people even take this in the battery collection box? It may say sealed, but battery fluid will eventually leak out, and where will it be? in a landfill? I bought the flashlight for my mom for its nifty size and because of the LED light - yes, I was actually thinking conservation when I grabbed the flashlight! Ha! Then I went to change the battery for her and realized I couldn't. So for anyone with concerns about the environment, ALERT - look for an LED flashlight with replaceable batteries!
