I purchased this for my husband who is a Eucharistic Minister. It is absolutely beautiful and holds at least 10 hosts. Great quality!

As others have mentioned, the lock does not completely lock. When you close the lid, it pops back up again but it does remain closed. It serves its purpose and the price was great.

Taking the consecrated host to Catholics too sick to attend mass in person.

This pyx has a lovely design, is well made and holds up to ten Eucharists. I often visit nursing homes and offer holy communion to Catholic residents. It is regal and easy to open and access.
