Great product, awesome customer service.
This product has helped me tremendously. The first one I received had a defective lock, which made it useless for my situation, but customer service quickly responded, and shipped me a new one as soon as I could prove the defect with a photo, and let me keep the busted one. For that, I am very grateful. This is a great product for many situations. It is great for making sure elderly don't accidentally double dose. It's great for keeping others locked out from your medications. Great for stopping addicts from abusing their prescriptions. That is, if someone they trust holds the keys. Now, that being said, this is not a steel safe that can keep out anyone, you could easily break the plastic lid if someone were determined enough to get to your medications, but this is a great tool to deter others or yourself from taking medication in a manner other than is prescribed. Overall I am extremely happy with this product, and was well worth the money I spent on it.

Great for elderly. Amazing
After writing the review below the Lock for the container broke. We are trying another one but unsure of how it will hold up. We only had the first one for one month. We bought this for my 99 year old mom who lives alone. She has short term memory problems. She was always dropping her pill containers or playing with the pills and mixing them up. It took a week or two for her to get in the rhythm of using it and also a few tears because change is hard but it works great. So impressed with it. It is on the kitchen counter with instructions taped to the cupboard. At first she read the instructions but it is getting more routine now. Our instructions are: alarm sounds, open window, tip pills into your hand, swallow pills. Because of her short term memory problems she constantly goes to check to see if she has taken her pills. If there are no pills in the window she has taken them. Highly recommend this. Hope this is helpful. The only concern is the key. It is a bit difficult to lock and unlock and I am concerned the threads will wear out. But would not hesitate in recommending this to others.

Working well
My mom is doing much better at taking her meds Since we got this gadget. She is only occasionally missing a dosage Instead of going days and days without taking her medicine. She sometimes sleeps through the alarm if she is taking a nap. The only thing that could be better is, if the alarm would stay on until the medicine is taken. I guess it would have to be a plug in machine instead of battery operated for that though. It was a little bit complicated to set up, but not too bad. My mom still thinks that she should be in the one in charge of putting the pills in but I know she is not up to it.

Safe and easy to use
This is a lifesaver, literally! It allows me to safely organize all of my 85 year old dad's medications for morning and night for 2 weeks at a time. I love how much easier it has made my life and how much safer it has made his.

Failed on first use; no fix other than replace. Save your $$ and buy something else.
the instructions were clear and set-up was not difficult. However, at the first set alarm time, the device displayed an "Err" on the screen, green lights around the device lit up, and there was no way to clear it or reset it. I "power cycled" it by pulling the batteries out and placing them back in (fresh, new batteries, not the generic brand batteries that were included with the device). Reseating the batteries allowed the device error to go away, but it was only temporary. The next "alarm" time arrived and the device blinked green and displayed the same "Err" message on the screen. For a contraption this expensive to fail immediately out of the box, I have no faith in the product quality and will be returning it. Additional concerns regarding quality is that the device must be locked in order for the door to be closed (it does not snap or click closed). Overall, the concept is great, but the quality and execution is horrible. 1 star is generous.

Dandy Concept! I wish the unit would last longer than 1 year....
THIS is a GOOD THING for forgetful or easily confused persons. The pills appear with a tone when due, and the tone sounds for 30 minutes. When the door is opened the tone stops. Now, as others have noted, the key to unlock the device is connected to a piece of plastic, too easily broken. Also, the device does NOT stay together unless the lock is used. Also, the inevitable banging of the device to release a stuck pill inside - will completely unhinge the box if it is not locked. A simple Robertson head or even phillips head on the lock would suffice in most cases, the tamp-pruf key is overkill. The box is just like your house, if anyone REALLY wants to get in, they can-Also the alarm only sounds for a half hour. A better scheme would be 5 minutes at the dose time, then 2 minutes every half hour after that. A blinking LED until the dose is taken would also be a great addition. If the person is hard of hearing, sleeping, or in another part of the house when the alarm goes off, the unit doesn't make a peep after that. It needs a 'NAG!' function :-)The setup is simple on the unit, and overall function has been good. If these improvements were added, I think it would beat any other unit on the market!7/29/23 Just received the replacement unit for the one ordered 3/21/22. It seems the lifespan of the unit is just about 1 year, then the display goes away, and it is useless.
