Air LiftLoadLIfter 5000 Ultimate Air Spring Kit for 2014-2025 Dodge Ram 2500/Ram 2500-88289

I have a 2014 RAM 2500 truck and a trailer with a high tongue weight. I use an Equalizer hitch but have to put a lot of tension in the bars to level the truck and trailer. After using the air springs, I have realized that putting air in the springs will raise the truck and decrease the weight distribution effect. I believe the correct way to set this up is to level the truck as much as possible with the weight distribution hitch. Then use the air shocks to fine tune the level but even 5 PSI is going to take weight off the WD bars and move it onto the truck.I think these air springs are best suited to a truck or truck/trailer without a WD hitch. Then, when heavily loaded they will raise the back end and protect the suspension from sagging. They do NOT add to your payload limit.The installation was easy enough. I used a high lift jack under my hitch to raise the back of the truck enough to get the air bags in. It was not necessary to lift the tires off the ground or remove them. There was one screw missing but fortunately ACE Hardware had one that was almost identical so I didn't have to wait for a replacement part in the mail. I measured each of the long carriage bolts so that the clamp was the same distance on each side, and therefore parallel to the air bag base plate. The instructions didn't say to do that but I think it is a good idea. Then I torqued the nuts with a torque wrench and cut off the excess threads.My truck already has an on-board air compressor and tank for my air horns. The self leveling kit sounds nice but it is expensive and I wanted to use my air system. I bought an Air Lift 21703 Paddle Valve Switch and installed it in near my license plate. It connects to my air tank and connects to both air bags.

Easy install and good instructions. They work perfectly reducing any sag and bounce while towing our trailer.

love these so far, haven't seen yet if it will help with towing my 5th wheel. The install was amazingly easy, the instructions were ok, could have been a bit better.

2022 Ram 2500 diesel 4x4 Bighorn with rear coils. The kit arrived quickly and in good condition. Instructions were very straightforward and comprehensive. If you follow these instructions exactly the bags and brackets assemble quickly. I did not remove wheels just jacked the frame up about 6 inches with wheels still touching the ground. Assemblies slipped in easily and bolted right up. Ram the airlines to two existing holes on the hitch. These work awesome when airing up to get sag out when camper is out I. The truck bed. Much more stable ride with less roll and sway. Great purchase

Nice quality are bags and were not to bad to install. Lot easier than the wireless compressor was. Surprisingly the instructions were really easy to follow with colored pictures. No shortcuts I did follow them and it went smooth. I got these with the bouncers inside as recommend from the 5th gen app. guys and glad I did. I would recommend these and the Airlift wireless EZ compressor is really nice as well with it.

This is probably the best things I bought for my 2024 ram 2500.

6/19/2016---I installed this on a 2015 Ram 2500 Mega Cab with the 6.4L V8 Hemi with a payload capacities just shy of 3,000 lbs. I bought these air bags to prevent my truck from squatting while hauling water and pulling my trailers.First off, I love the system and the simplicity of it all. I recommend these airbags to anyone looking to prevent their trucks from sagging under heavy loads. So why 4 stars? Well, these air springs state they have a load leveling capacity of up to 5000 lbs but I find that hard to believe. In the directions it states to inflate the air bags until you achieve your normal ride height. For my truck from the top of my rear tire, to the bottom of the corresponding fender its 10.5 inches. When I haul water I can't get above 9 inches of clearance with 95 psi. (Max is 100). I haul just less than 350 gallons of water as that's the max capacity of my tank. A gallon of water weighs approximately 8 lbs so that's roughly 2800 lbs. As per the manual it states that "The springs in this kit will support approximately 40 lbs of load (combined on both springs) for each 1 PSI of pressure." This brings up two issues. First, the fact that 40 lbs * 100 psi = a max load leveling of 4000 lbs NOT 5000 lbs and second, that I should only need about 70 psi (give or take) to level my truck with the water tank... So why can 95 not get the job done? Because of these issues I give 4 of 5 stars.Installing the air springs was fairly simple, however the directions where not exactly clear and resulted in a lot of wasted time, checking, then rechecking to make sure everything was correct. So even though the process was simple it wasn't exactly easy. If I had to do it again, I could probably do it in about a half hour or just over. The hardest part is understanding how to assemble the air bags before mounting as the parts are slightly different for the left and right side, and the directions don't clearly show which way the plates face per side. I recommend cross referencing the diagram on page 3, even though it doesn't help with side specific parts. As a whole it's simple enough to install that if you have all the tools needed as per the instructions, you should be capable of installing it yourself.One thing the instillation instructions didn't mention is the use of a Air Brake Anti-Freeze, this additive helps prevent condensation, and moisture buildup inside of the air bags thus stopping potential damage as well as ice blocks inside the air lines. If you decide to purchase the wireless air compressor model # 7200 (which works great by the way) the instructions on that mention using "Gunk" brand Air Brake Anti-Freeze. But in order to add it when the air bags are installed, you practically have to completely remove them. So its best if you pick some up before you assemble the air bags if you live in an area that gets below freezing. See attached image for directions.After I installed the air bags, I had to plan on where to route my air lines. I had bought the air bags in conjunction with the wireless air kit mentioned above, so I knew I wouldn't have to fill them manually so I wouldn't need the included air valves. But based of someone else's review I decided it was best to just do it anyway and good thing to because the compressor that was sent to me had a piece broken off and wasn't usable. And I had to manually fill the air bags for the week it took Air Lift to send me a new compressor. 10 of 10 on their customer service. Anyway, the instructions showed a few different places you could mount the air valves but I ended up putting them about a food behind my rear tires mud flaps because there was already a hole there symmetrical on both sides of the truck. I just had to make the hole a little larger to fit the air valve and it was perfect.Not really sure what else to say besides that If you've been thinking about getting air bags because you haul, or tow a lot then you will be pleased with this set.NOTE: These air bags do not increase the payload capacity of your truck. They only effect ride quality, and height. It's not only the suspension that limits the payload of your truck its also the tires, wheels, hubs, axle. Even if they are all rated for more than what your truck is, the frame itself may not be. The payload capacity is a number that cant be fudged a little every now and then after all it is only a "Safe working load" but don't buy these air bags thinking your puny 1/4 ton truck can suddenly haul anything.3/11/2019---I've had these airbags for almost 3 full years now, and every time I go to use them I'm thankful I bought them. I haven't had any issues with the air bags at all, and they're still holding pressure without any leaks. There are no signs of cracking, stress or wear in general.

installment was easy. bought a T to make it one air line instead of two. I had them on my f150 and now my ram 2500. I would not tow without them. If you have the death wobble you need to get airbags!💯 % improvement when towing! It takes a few air level tests to figure out what is a good level of air for your towing needs but so worth it in the end.

I installed this on my 2020 Ram 2500 Powerwagon. Easy install. Instructions are good and there are videos online that you can watch as well. Excellent product.

Before installing these I watched a few YouTube videos, so I had a good idea on what to expect when installing. Total time for me was 3 hours to put the bags and compressor in.When I hauled my trailer for the first time it was a totally different experience.
