Does this bend or snap when stood on ??

I don't know what it would do if you stood on it but it is very rigid and I have found that hair tends to get under the rim unless your shower is absolutely flat. I have bought the more flexible rubber hair catchers and find these more effective as they have suckers to keep them in place.

I am quite impressed with this contraption. Just had a shower and removed the hair that had collected there over the past few days. Before I bought this, the trap would block regularly as the shower is frequently used by 4 people. Before I fitted it I put a liquid cleaner down it, and then used one of those cheap pumps to force anything left out. That was 4 weeks ago and so far the drain has worked as it should. I think that this is a great buy and I should have bought one decades ago. Check that there is clearance around the drain - sure there would be.The anser to both of your question is yes.
