TileMate (2020) 2-Pack - Discontinued by Manufacturer

The Tile units work well. The Mate is great for attaching to keys and placing in luggage. The Slim is made for a wallet, but I've had the experience of it coming on just because of the way I sat on it. "Adhesion" is not a descriptor for these units--they have no adhesive (that would be another model).

This version has a replaceable battery, which was my biggest complaint of the previous version. The app has come a long way also as you couldn't reactivate dead tiles, since you couldn't replace the battery. Also, the app now partners with Life 360 allowing your circle (family) to see the location. Don't know if it increases the user base to all of Life 360 or just your circle. A big user base is important if you're looking in a strange location, like a mall. Too bad on the newest ones, you have to upgrade to the Pro tile to get replaceable battery. The only thing is I wish they came with a key ring: BYO.

One stopped working

The product is fine. I bought it as a gift and have not heard a complaint yet.However, the color came as the army print instead of what you see on the display of this product.

These tags work very well, we can find our things quite easily and also find our phones as we can make it ring if we press the button on the tags. It works via bluetooth, so the range is not huge, maybe 100-200 feet max, depending if there are walls, etc. The app in the phone shows you where your tag was last seen.If the tagged object is outside that range, good luck!! You may get lucky if the phone rememebr where the tag was last detected and it happens to be there.tile also sells a "community find" so the phones of others can detect yoru tile and report to you, but that is a pay service!!the battery life can be a bit short, but you get warnings it is low, as long as your app is on. If you dont want to have the app on all the time and drain yoru battery (both phone and tag) then all that is gone.

I have more than 8 Tile devices, Slims for wallets, several Mate models like these for keys and my work ID badge. I also own one Pro model that is attached to the keys that started all this. The Pro model has longer range, 400ft versus 200ft for the Mate and the Pro model has a louder noise maker.The Pro and Mate models have one year replaceable batteries while the Slim model has a 3 year non-replaceable battery. But with the Slim model you will get a discount when they need replacement.My initial purchase was initiated by losing my main set of keys, house and car, outside. Replacing the car key was going to cost $400 since it is a fob you slip into the dash and not a conventional key at all. I turned out the keys were covered by a small cluster of leaves and lucky for me on a windy day they got uncovered. Once found I was determined to minimize the chance of losing them again and bought my first Tile device. Having my key make noise on demand has helped me find my key a number of times.I have also bought the annual premium service which will tell you the last time the device was seen anyone's Tile app and sends you annual battery replacements.The Tile devices have the ability to make your phone make noise even when in silent mode so you can locate your phone if you can find your keys. I have now put Tiles in my wife's and my wallets, on our keyrings, even the spares, and with my ID badge for work. All the things that seem to get misplaced regularly.I wish they had something that was small enough and light enough for eyeglasses but that is not likely any time soon. 😒

I purchased the two pack. These are the previous design 2020 that had replaceable batteries. The idea was that these could help my wife and I find our keys was why I purchased these. Here is the list of my issues with the 2020 version:1. To find the phone, you push the button twice on the Tile. The problem is that with both Tiles that we have, the button is always getting pushed inadvertently in my pocket when I bend. This is quite annoying, as I have to grab my phone or my wife's phone to reset it.2. The Tiles are not very loud. They need to be much louder in order to find them easier. The 2021 version addresses this, but could still be louder.3. In order to have some basic features, you will need to subscribe and pay for the use of these features. This is really bad when you consider that the basic features don't take much to get working and certainly shouldn't require the owner to pay continuously.As I mentioned, the new 2021 Tile is a sealed unit and doesn't have access to replace the battery. The battery in this Tile is said to last 3 years, but the warranty is for only 1 year. So, there is no guarantee that the battery will last more than a year and could possibly last 3 years. At that point, you just throw it away and buy a new one! The new 2021 Tile is also larger than the 2020 Tile. If anything, I would like it to be smaller.

Schade, dass die Batterie nicht getauscht werden kann.Wenn die Karte +/- 2 Jahre hält bei 30€, passt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für mich nicht.

Great set for people that lose keys before leaving the house. Pity they have a limited lifespan....

I primarily bought these as my son is at an age when he needs his own keys and has previously lost keys. So far we've been able to track his keys when he left them at school and also found them in the house when he can't remember where he put them. Works super well with Alexa when we're at home.
