Not the best unit out there, but for the money, this is amazing
I snapped my femur in three places, one almost at the ball of the hip, one in the middle, and one towards my knee, all in a terrible motorcycle accident. I also broke my knee in multiple places. In the hospital, they had a medical grade ice machine I had been using and it made so much difference. I decided to buy one of my own. After moving on from the hospital, I started to use this. I will say that for the price, this thing is absolutely amazing. It does this job, and it doesn’t really well. My only gripe with it is that the actual cooler box that stores, the ice and water, or frozen water bottles if you choose to go that route does not seem to be as insulated or have as quality insulation as the higher end units. There are a few on Amazon that cost 3 to 4 times the price and you might think it’s silly, but I have a feeling those have better insulated boxes because like I said, my only gripe with this one is you’re not really gonna get more than an hour out of it if you fill it with ice and water, and maybe 5 to 6 hours with the frozen water bottles where I’ve heard others will last all night. Outside of that, though this is extremely quiet, the paddock comes with is absolutely ginormous so for me I could wrap my whole femur with it, and it pumps water very strong way throughout the entire pad. For the money, this thing is awesome. For me it’s not a huge deal because I have an amazing support system, and my girlfriend is consistently around and more than willing to change the ice but if you were doing this on your own, you might find that you’re changing the ice water quite often and it might be worth getting an upgraded model however for the money, this thing is amazing

A terrific unit -if you have it beginning of your injury
After hearing many people who own similar units and had great experience, I decided to invest in one too. Too late. By the time the product arrived, it was my 3rd week of injury. I was prescribed a lot of pain meds to cope with the swelling of my foot in first 2 weeks. I had a talus bone fracture. If you are considering this unit for a hurt ankle/ foot, it’ll be most helpful initial 2 weeks of your injury, and then you’ll need less and less as the swelling goes down. Had I had this unit earlier, I believe I might have rely less on oral meds and kept the swelling (very painful) to a minimum. For the unit itself, I found it the BEST one of the 3 I’ve researched. A friend loaned me their Breg polar care cube unit that their doctor “gave them” (their insurance covered the cost, how nice right?). I thought since it’s “hospital grade”, theirs must be superior? No, this Nehoo is way more user friendly; it fits 2 yogurt/ ice cream tub size ice blocks (reducing you having to make buckets of ice daily). The cover slides in and out easily, unlike my friend’s Breg, which is a battle to completely put it on with the handle “catches”. I like the fact that it has control on the interface, allowing different options eg 30 min cycle time. This would be very useful if you had make surgery and bedridden for a long time and wants the ice machine to run continuously without having to get up and reset the system. That way you don’t even need someone to help you. It’s also bigger than the Breg which keeps the ice and ice water cold longer - bigger container means it holds more ice and less need to replenish cold water/ice if you need to use it all day. For reference, I used it 2-3x a day but had I gotten it first couple weeks of my injury, I would have been on it probably twice as much and twice as long because my foot swell up 4x bigger after the accident. The swelling was so painful that I ended up doing foot ice baths. That was instant relief but messy and I needed my spouse to help me set up the ice bucket etc This would have been a game changer. As I entered my 4th-5th week of injury, my back actually needs icing more than my foot because I started to learn to walk and one side of my back is compensating so much since I couldn’t completely bear weight on the bad foot. That causes a lot of constant back pain all day long. Chiropractor/ physio therapy etc only temporarily relief. This ice machine is used in between visits. I also like the soft grey nicer color than the Breg blue. The only thing it is inferior is that it’s pretty loud. I don’t know that until I tried the Brege and the latter was noticeably quieter. The price is also midway. Not the costliest on Amazon. I found a similar unit on temu for a lot less, about $80 but it took forever to arrive so like I said timing is important when you are using these recovery tools. Also the Temu one has a collapsible bucket and the bucket is smaller than the Breg, so my guess is it probably will not be able to keep the ice and water as cold and long as these two above mentioned. The Temu is however, a great option for those who have a tighter budget. Other than the bucket, the pad and cord all seems to be compatible. Make sure you Google and watch a video on how to empty the water inside the pad when you are ready to store it. I highly recommend it for anyone with shoulder, knee, foot injuries. Because my friends who recommended this unit to me had such injuries and all had positive experiences. See side by side video comparison with the Breg unit. Hope this review helps those on the fans decide!

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED
It worked great for 2 months and then the pump stopped working. I sent an email to their customer service almost a month age and have heard nothing back. Highly disappointed and based off the no care customer service, would HIGHLY recommend that no one purchase this or anything else this company makes/sells. EDIT!!! After I reached out to an alternate email, I learned that the first email address was a scam address. The company reached out that day and asked for my address and sent a replacement. It arrived in a couple of days and works like a charm. EXCELLENT customer service!

Work Great, set the timer to run for 20 and rest for 40
Got this for my knee replacement on August 19, 2026, set the timer to come on for 20 mins and to go off for 40 mins, works Great, as of the end of the day on the 21st I have not had to take any pain pills due to using this ice machine after home therapy and office therapy, I do exactly what the therapist tells me to do and ice after after doing anything. The machine works great and all you have to do is add ice, it has orange color lights to let you know it's starting to get warmer and when it gets to 59 degrees the led is red, all you gotta do is dump some water out and fill with ice, done correctly the cube ice I use last 6 hours, if you use a combo of frozen bottled water and cube ice it last upto 8 hours, I use it all night long and what swelling I had when I went to bed is all but gone by morning, makes it alot easier to do my therapy and stretch the leg with out the swelling in the morning, highly recommend buying and using the timer.

You won't regret this purchase, promise!
This little machine is a lifesaver!! I am very pleased with its performance as I used it everyday and almost all day for 3 months straight! It even went with me to the doctors office in the truck (over 2hours each way)! I am mentioning this as I would sit in the front seat and this unit would sit in the back seat floor; the tube was long enough to run under my seat and the power cord worked in an outlet in that console! My only complaint is that it is hard to clean and to empty out completely for storage! I will be using it again in about 2 months so it will not be stored for long this time, but it will need to be stored for close to year after this next surgery. I am hoping that it survives long enough for my next knee surgery (next year). For reference, I went in for a knee replacement but had complications and hope to have that knee replaced in about 2 more months...then the other knee will be replaced next year, hopefully 🤞 The basin was smaller than expected and I could only, strategically, place 4-16.9oz frozen water bottles in there. If I used the lower flow rate settings and 20-30 min run times/rest times, I would only had to change out water bottles 3 times throughout the day total! I think if I had used ice, I would have had to add ice alllll day! The length of the tube was sometimes a bit too long for what I needed, however I can see how this would be beneficial for others. If I had slept in my bed, I definitely would have needed the longer length. I slept on the couch (we have powered recliners at the ends) and purchased a plastic 3-tiered cart with wheels to house this unit to keep it close. I highly recommend having a cart of some sort, A) it helps with the weight of the unit once filled with water and ice bottles, & B) it keeps it elevated and if water pools (which it does when changing out the ice bottles), it won't be on your nice furniture! Also I liked having it to store all of my meds and toiletries in one place while chair bound most of the day! Hey, and snacks too!! :) Overall, THIS IS AWESOME!!! I am hoping it will last for a long time! I would definitely purchase this one over the one that was offered from the hospital; price is better and convenient (and gets better reviews as that one is available on Amazon for less money than the company the hospital uses).

Best Value for peace of mind
Amazing product. It’s a must have for an ACL Reconstruction. No more thinking about the ratio of on to off, whether you remembered to set the timer or if the water is the right temperature, just set the on board timer to 20 on and 40 off once and then let it loop for hours. No more thinking. Using bags of ice from the gas station I would fill with water to the low line and then put in about 50% of an ice bag in and it would stay around 35F for 7-8 hrs. I would run it on loop while I slept (increased to 60 min rest, 20 on). Reliable, effective, and easy. The straps are very sticky Velcro which helps get some compression and keep it in place. Even fit within my leg brace, and I just kept the pad attached when I needed to move around. Love this product.

Excellent machine, worth every penny
Sept 8 2025-Excellent machine. Am day 6 after knee surgery. I’ve used this machine 20 hours a day, the other 4 I use ice packs when watching tv. It is very easy to program the on/off cycle. I program it 40 on and 10 off, and adjust the flow to the lowest-this keeps it cool longer I’ve found. It lasts 6+ hours this way. We stock it with 6oz frozen water bottles, then ice, then water. We have spare frozen water bottles to keep them fresh and rotate them in the next change. The only design flaw is that when we go to put the top on, there are ice cubes in the way. It requires some scooping and quick maneuvering to get it closed. This would be easily solve by attaching a hard plastic sleeve with vents in the bottom to the bottom of the inside of the unit.when I emailed this suggestion to the seller they were very excited about this idea and said that would suggest it to the manufacturer. That’s nice, even if they are just saying that! We built a cart to hold the unit on top because it isn’t strong enough to pump water from the floor for long. This would strain the motor and burn it out. The cart has wheels which makes it super easy to refill, we just wheel it to the kitchen-well, my wife does! And it’s at a level that I can reach the programming easily. I also bought a sleeve to cover the hose to keep it cool longer-it’s for a C-pap machine and works well. Overall, good machine. I used a sports machine before, alcohol and water, required no changing. But cost $500 to rent for a month! My pocket book prefers this and we can also use it next time. August 6, 2026-hip replacement last week (!). Using this again with the cart. We solved the ice cubes getting in the way of closing the top. We froze big pieces of ice in large yogurt containers and use those. The ice also lasts longer. The cart is great-all the things I might need go on the 2nd shelf. And when it needs refilling the entire cart and machine get wheeled to the kitchen which means it doesn’t have to be carried. It’s also VERY quiet. See photos.

This so much better than ice packs
First of all, this is only getting 4 stars because the temperature gauge failed after 1 week. Hubs called the company, and they immediately sent out another unit and told us not to bother sending the other one back. Keep in mind, the unit still works fine, just does not let you know when the ice needs to be changed because it's getting too warm. This is a handy little machine that will keep things cool for about half a day with 5 or 6 little ice bottles. It's not quite as cold as an ice pack, which is actually more comfortable, and you don't have to spend all day running back and forth and changing ice. I got the knee pad and use it instead of the universal pad, as I needed it after a knee replacement, so I can't say how well the universal pad works. It's nice that you can either run it for manual intervals or can set it to run for 30 minutes and then start up again in 30 minutes automatically. The straps are plenty long enough to wrap about your knee without cutting into it or making it uncomfortable. The velcro is a bit of a pain, because it wants to stick to everything, but it does it's job well. When the entire unit it working correctly, it will let you know when you need to change the ice bottles, because the temperature is too high. It still works just fine without it, though. My doctor called this a "luxury", but I think it's a necessity if you need to ice after surgery or an injury. Old-fashioned ice packs are such a pain, having to change them out constantly and having to keep enough of them to make sure there's always one cold. For the cost, it was well worth the money to me. The company's customer service was excellent, too.
