Forget those hopeless stick-on pads that don't stay on. This product is what you need for wooden objects - cabinets, couches, chairs, stools, etc.Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Drilling a pilot hole, slightly smaller than the diameter of the nail in the pad, is essential.Beware of tile floors when moving heavy objects like cabinets. There will be height variations between tiles, unless your sub-flooring is perfectly flat - an unlikely scenario. Sliding an object across a "ridge" on a higher adjacent tile can cause the pad to pull out. Lift the object slightly to take some weight off so it can move smoothly across any ridges. You'll likely need two people to do that properly.Sliding heavy objects across hardwood flooring - the purpose I had in mind when I purchased these - is a snap.

After being unable to keep the adhesive felt chair pads in one place -- they continually wandered off of the chair leg, I opted for the kind that nail onto the chair. Now they stay put. Pad thickness is excellent and I'm confident they will last for a very long time. The pad mount color goes well with my antique white chair. Great find!

These chair leg thumb tac sliders are great and easy to install . I recommend a small rubber mallet and some good precision and you'll be done in no time. I had the sticky pads in the past but they would come off and leave a trail of sticky residue. Found these for the great price and decided to get them. Now I have the piece of mind that my chairs are going to slide nice and smooth on my wood floors. Would definitely recommend this product.

Well made, worked great. Did have to fill existing nail hole with a quality toothpick due to different size nail. Chairs are heavy and these glides work nicely on my wooden floor without scratching. It's been a couple weeks now since I installed them, no failures and they stood up to a very busy holiday! I would purchase from this seller again!

This is the second box I've purchased and I have found the Felt Glides work. Over the years I've wasted time and $$$ with various products that promise to do what this Glide actually does well. I bought these for my condo neighbor. Her chairs have no glide protectors so her chairs squeal and the couple below Her complain to me. So Dugan Felt Glides to the rescue....Thanks

Excellent product. Very different from your average furniture glides. The foam is extremely dense and firm to take 'wear and tear'. What is also nice is that the glides are attached by a nail, which is much more secure than the average adhesive attached glides. They come in a variety of types, colors and sizes for whatever chairs or floors you are looking to protect. They have extremely personal customer service which is rare in an 'Amazon' retail world. When I was unsure of a color that I purchased they were very attentive in helping me to return and repurchase. Highly recommend!

Great little idea, especially for mid-century furniture with slender legs. Ordered in 13/16" diameter, but actually 1/2" or 11/16" would have been perfect. Also received a nice follow up email from the manufacturer--small Mom/Pop shop doing business the ol' fashion way--working hard and paying attention to details. Try getting both that level of service AND this product from big box HD or Lowes.

I bought a new chair with nylon glides and did not trust that they wouldn't scratch my hard wood floor, so I searched for a better solution. I know from the past that the felt pads that you stick on do not stay and the glue ends up on the floor. These glides are excellent and I was easily able to install them by just pulling out the nylon glides and replacing them with these.
