Great price and carries the Duracell name which I usually associate with quality and longer lasting batteries. For most of the box, this is the case. However, there are always 2 to 4 batteries in the box that are either dead on arrival or just die after a very short time of usage. The deal is probably still good, since the price still averages down to a good number even when subtracting out the bad batteries, or at least it does when only 2 or so are bad. When you start getting to 4 or more, then the product becomes more expensive than other offers. The box is convenient as you don't have to deal with the terrible plastic wrapping. The 9v batteries are the bigger issue, since I use them for the smoke alarms and with very high ceilings it is a major hassle to have to go back and keep changing the batteries and carrying out the ladder.

The exact replacement needed for my wireless Tyco smoke detectors!! Always go with the longest life batteries that are recommended by the manufacturer!! Thanks!

I have been buying these batteries for years as they are long lasting and less expensive than the other Duracell types. I only deducted a point because they used to come in little boxes of 4 within the larger box. This was very useful to me. With children I was able to give a little box to each child with the Christmas gifts that they got. I would ask Duracell to consider reinstituting the smaller boxes of 4 within the larger box of Procell batteries. I find myself using small zipper plastic bags for this now and that is not as ecofriendly.
