So far? Excellent!
I’m not going pretend to understand the science behind this product, but I’ve used it for a little while, and I’m comfortable speaking as to my personal experiences. It looks and works as you would expect. The unit is the size of a deck of cards, and it comes with four sets of wires, and some electrodes. The wires connect the electrodes to the unit. The electrodes stick on to your skin in a way that you have possibly experienced in a hospital or therapeutic setting. Just put a few drops of water on them and they adhere to skin nicely.Once you are hooked up, you have your choice of 24 settings for the type of treatment that you want, and then within that type, you can choose the strength of the treatment that you want. As other reviewers have mentioned, for being a small rechargeable unit, the higher settings are surprisingly powerful. So, what exactly are these treatments, and what do they do? How does it feel? The treatments work by transmitting an electrical current into your skin. The electricity stored in the unit travels through the wires into the electrodes, and into your skin. So, what’s good about that? The electricity doesn’t just go skin deep. It goes into the underlying muscles, and that’s where the magic happens. The electrical stimulation causes your muscles to have some activity. It can be just a tiny tingle, or a much stronger effect. I didn’t really entire believe that something small and rechargeable could have a big effect. However, at medium settings, the effect can be strong enough to make the muscles below the electrodes twitch, or even clench and contract. So, what’s that good for? Recently, I had one of those nasty bugs that caused me to cough so hard that I had sore muscles in my back, sides, and abdomen. I put the electrodes onto the affected areas and used a low setting. The little tingle that the electricity put into the sore muscles was very soothing, just the thing I like that I needed. It can handle other issues as well, such as keeping muscles from atrophy if they can’t be normally used. It can range from what feels like a gentle massage all the way to what feels like actually working the muscles.I ran it by my physical therapist, just to be safe, and she gave me the green light.I don’t want to promise you’ll have some sort of miracle, but I can honestly say that I am quite happy with my results so far. Just based on what I’ve experienced so far, if I tried this out at a friend’s house, I would have easily believed that this product could sell for $250-$350. Naturally, it feels to me like a bargain. I’m even willing to say that if I wasn’t one who steers clear of other people’s health (because I’m not a doctor), I’d recommend this to friends and family. I’m even considering breaking my own rule and giving one or two as a gift.So yeah, that all sounds too good to be true to me, and I’m the one who wrote it!TL; DR - I like this little gadget a lot!

The AUVON TENS Model AS8016 is also an EMS
My old, other brand TENS/EMS unit needed to be replaced & I was excited to find a dual channel unit that can run 2 modes independently! I received this yesterday and have used it for 2-60 minute sessions. It was fully charged out of the box. The user manual is easy to understand. It actually feels like holding a cell phone. I love that it has a locking feature...no more accidental cancelling the session. One thing the manual doesn’t tell you is you can long press the mode button to more quickly go to each master program mode, then short press to choose the sub-mode...makes it a little quicker to move through the modes. The lowest intensity is very low...which is good. Some units start out too high, which can be painful depending on the need. What I like:* Lock feature* 2 channels, each with 2 ports (4 ports total)* Each channel can run a different mode independent of the other.* Each channel can be a different intensity* Small enough to fit in your back pocket* Good range of low to high intensities* USB rechargeable...no more batteries!* Good quality pads in 2 sizes. What I would update:* Include a clip...sometimes you don’t have a pocket* Wish you could move backwards through the modes* Design it so the lead wire pushes flush to the unit. Right now there’s a gap and I’m afraid I’ll push too hard and dislodge the inner workings. (Happened before on a different unit.)I’ve only had it 2 days, so I’ll update if anything changes, but I'm happy with it's performance and the pain relief I receive!

Impressive Device for the Price
I never make a purchase without first doing a TON of research. I found the Auvon TENS Unit EMS on multiple review sites and it received great reviews. The deciding factor for my purchase was the fact that this one has 4 outputs and can be used with up to 8 pads on 2 different channels…that way I can get pain relief in two different areas (neck and shoulder) by using different settings for each area. I have had neck/shoulder pain since an accident in 2009 and have had TENS/EMS treatment so many times at the physical therapists’ and chiropractors’ officers over the years and finally realized, with the encouragement of my doctor and PT, that it was time to have a home device. The Auvon is just as powerful as the devices that my providers use on me. Now I can use it anytime I need relief at home. Another reason I chose the Auvon is that it had great reviews for the adhesion of its pads, and those reviews were correct—it sticks quite well. I do make sure that I have cleaned off any gels or balms from the area where I am applying the pads to make them stick longer. I am also very impressed with the long battery life. I can use it multiple times before recharging. I like that the Auvon has a rechargeable battery and can be portable or plugged in, as needed. The one thing that I would change is the controls…a touch screen would make it so much easier to select the setting that I want quickly, but then it might not be such a great price, so the trade off is ok. I would prefer being able to toggle to the exact setting without having to go all the way through to the end of the settings and then starting all over from the top again. Overall, this is a powerful device with lots of great features that is simple to use. I would recommend to anyone who needs pain relief at home.

Love it!
I have a bad back and get sciatica very often from a car accident I had back in 2020. I pop these babies on. It pulsates and electrifies the area where my muscles spasm and where the sciatica goes off. I put them on when I'm aching or in pain and it helps relief the stress by allot. Just imagine being in pain and not being in control of it, but with these you now have the ability to be in pain but have a counter attack with this device. Overall i would highly recommend, especially for this unbeatable price.
