Very nice
The machining and fit/finish of it is perfect. The magnet is definitely strong enough to work. Perfect fit for my 9500 inverter predator generator. Very cheap insurance, highly recommend.

Fits Harbor Freight 9500 watt Inverter
Fits the large drain hole of the Harbor Freight 9500 watt Inverter. It seems to work ok. I ran the generator for a 10 hour break in and the magnetic drain plug collected a lot of tiny filings.

A perfect fit for my Harbor Freight Predator 9500 generator
Perfect description and fit for my Harbor Freight Predator 9500 Generator! I'd like to thank the staff at this company for writing out in "Human" laymen terms the perfect description of this plug. After searching through 100's of possible correct plugs, this company was the only one that broke it down where anyone can understand. Many thanks and I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

Worth it!
The media could not be loaded. I installed this in my generator before the initial break-in period. At the first oil change, it visibly collected plenty of metal particles and will hopefully extend the life of the genny

Great metal-shavings remover, just OK measuring device
I bought this mostly for the magnet on the end. It works better than expected, as I did not think it protruded into the engine far enough to pick up any metal shavings But with 3 rounds of break in runs, it caught shavings on each run (more than the magnetic drain plug on the last one).As a dipstick, it’s, well, meh. The anodized finish and lack of actual scale markings make it hard to read oil level with clean oil. But on my engine, I can look in the dipstick hole, so using the dipstick to measure is not required. (Nonetheless, I put hot/cold marks on it with a Sharpie, using the factory dipstick as a guide.)The chunk-of-aluminum construction is durable, but it also holds the heat. You will need gloves to remove it from a hot engine, and it is still too hot to touch with bare fingers some minutes after removal. On some engines, a socket/wrench could be used, but on mine the position makes that difficult. Easiest solution is don’t overtighten it. I may try putting some Plasti-Dip or something on the “bolt-head” top area.

Works in Predator 9500
Magnetic drain plug is a "must have" for small engines that don't have any means of oil filtration. This plug is magnetic and fits perfectly in the HF 9500 Inverter Generator 57080 459cc engine. You can't go wrong with this drain plug - I recommend it over the stock plastic one since it threads in just like OEM, fits tight, and captures metal particulates.
