I got this for a musical I was in. It fit me beautifully, and it fit the scene I had to wear it in. I also ended up wearing it for New Year's Eve. It's an incredible dress.I was worried that I was going to be too hot in it or be uncomfortable because of the material, but it's actually one of the best dresses I own. I love how it feels and the material in the inside of the dress is completely different from the outside. I LOVE THIS DRESS!

I've come to distrust clothing from Amazon, so I was very anxious about quality and fit. I'm incredibly picky, so finding a dress I even liked to begin with was impossible, much harder finding one in the color and fabric I wanted, below $100, and with good reviews.It just came in today and it's better than I expected, and exactly as I had hoped. It looks so beautiful. The burgundy is just like the photo. I'll be dressing it up with some replica vintage jewelry because I feel like this dress lends itself so well to a classic look.Fabric is just thick enough to feel substantial, but not overly heavy. Very comfortable and flattering in a way that makes me feel uncharacteristically confident, I love it. The waist highlights the figure well, but the sleeves help me feel "covered" in a way that an oversized t-shirt would. There's a little bit of stretch, but not in a cheap jersey cloth kind of a way.This dress is really going to help make for a memorable night, and I'm so happy I found it. I feel like myself wearing it. Anything else would have felt like a "wedding guest costume," not like "me, but in a nice dress." If you feel like this dress is very "you", I'd say go for it. It can be worn as is, but it's so simple in shape and color that it's very easy to dress it up with accessories that speak to you.Women's clothing sizes can be strange, but I'd say the 6 is relatively true to size. I almost always wear a 6 in dresses and a 4 in pants (but I sometimes have to go up or down a size). In this case, I'll be re-ordering a size down to match my pants size, because I feel that the waist and hips are a little bit baggy on me, and I find that the chest and shoulder area is very forgiving and will be able to fit a good range of sizes (especially if you're willing to use a couple safety pins).So if your dress and pants sizes don't match (like me with my wide shoulders and small hips) I'd say following your pants size is a good bet.I'm closer to 5'9" than 5'8", and the length on the size 6 is just long enough to look long and flowy and elegant instead of goofy. For me it hits just past the ankle. It covers the ankle fully, but I doesn't drag on the floor. I could wear flats or a short heel, but shorter women may want to go for a taller heel or choose to hem it.The only part I'm iffy on is the zipper. It feels like one of those cheap zippers that comes on every piece of clothing that only lasts a couple washes. If another event comes up where I'll have the chance to wear this dress again, I think I'll look into replacing the zipper, but for now it's fine. It's functional, and I'm packing extra safety pins and a small sewing kit just in case.Overall I love this dress, and I'm very happy with how it makes me look and feel!

This dress is beautiful, comfortable, and just stunning, but the shoulder area is too big. The bottom half fits perfect, not too snug, not too loose. Zipper was a little stiff but was not cheaply made. The only downfall is the shoulder/bust area was too large. I measured myself and even ordering a smaller size than the chart showed it was still too big. The event I bought this for was just days away after receiving the dress and I did not have time to get it altered, so it has been returned sadly.

I bought this for a Christmas dress for the stage. It fits true to size. Material is nice and a nice weight. I am purchasing another dress from this company as it is solid quality. It is a little low cut, so I pinned it with a pretty broach. It looks great.

Was this dress made for giants? The shoulder area is way too big and kept fallingng off. Also the sleeves were way longer than pictured. Also way too tight around the chest, I don't have huge boobs but still, it was too small. Not flattering. However, the fabric was really nice, and it was good at making my waist area look nice, so it gets points for that. This dress probably works for a taller person with board shoulders. (I'm 5 foot 1)

The fabric is soft and giving and the cut is really nice. Super pretty dress, I ordered a bunch of outfits online and everything else was so disappointing but this came exactly as expected 🙂

Cannot go wrong with basic, black velvet! looking forward to adding some bling for a Mardi Gras ball, and maybe New Year's Eve before then. I'm 5'9", 133 lbs., usually size 6 or 8. First ordered the green in size 8, but was too tight in the ribcage area so returned for a 10 and went for the black as more versatile. So maybe sizing up is a good idea.

I wanted to love this dress. It’s so beautiful and otherwise fit well, but the bust was too loose and I typically wear a 34DD. I probably could have kept it and either pinned it or worn a cami or bandeau underneath, but that wasn’t the look I was going for. If you’re comfortable with a lot of cleavage this dress should be fine.
