Perfect if they made them tougher
I got about 50 mikes on these ice grips but the rubber broke. I was able to repair them with heavy twine by tying the springs together. Grip is great, quality needs to get better and let us pay for this quality you did quality before, you can do it again just charge us. Have a cheap style and a durable style for those who walk a lot on icy forest trails. Please just be honest. Thanks

Work great on ice.
I got these for my husband to replace an old pair. We feel so comfortable walking on ice now that we have them.

Barely Lasted a Month
I bought these to walk to and from campus for the winter months when it snows and gets icy. They seemed great at first but the rubber gets brittle and breaks. I only used them half a dozen times from January to February and both the Left and Right are broken. Find a different brand or try something else.

Would be great for occasional use but not durable for daily use.
I recently moved to an area that gets a lot of snow and ice buildup with glare ice that is difficult to see while walking. I was walking my dog and had a few head over heels moments so I bought a set of these Yaktrak to try and solve the traction problem. Well, they definitely work fantastic as far as ice traction, I haven't filled once since getting them 30 days ago. The problem is after only 30 days they wire coils have snapped in multiple places. Basically these are not a great design if you are walking on hard surfaces that only have patches of ice, sidewalk eats up the down edge of the coils and then they weaken and snap. They were worth the cost in the sense that they kept me from breaking an arm or leg for the last 30 days but I think there must be a better solution that will last at least a winter season.Having said that I am also a backpacker and I can see these being great lightweight options for backpacking when you need to cross a snow field at high altitude. You could just whip these out, cross the snow field and then strap them back to your pack again after making the crossing. for that type of use I can see them lasting a long time but for the daily walking of the dog or taking a walk around town these didn't cut it in my opinion.

Satisfied
I originally bought the regular version of the Yaktrax to keep traction while trying to get to my job as a ski/snowboard instructor. I loved them then and this is an improved version. If you want to be surefooted on ice then this is the trick.

Yaktrac
I purchased these because I thought they would be good for ice and snow, However, I find they are quite slippery on tile surfaces.
