Initially, I was a bit miffed that the water (and coffee) didn't seem to filter and just poured straight through. However, now I prepare it differently - upside down, leave it to brew and then carefully flip it onto the cup. I actually prefer this way because once you take off the plunger, you don't need to press it down. None of the ground coffee granules get past the filter and there is zero mess. It's easy to clean with the little brush. Overall, I'm happy with this filter for the price and would buy it again.

The difference between the taste of my coffee with a paper filter vs this metal one is night and day. I didn't realise there was something missing from my morning brew until I changed filters. It also removes the fear of running out of the paper ones. Great value for money, pick this up for yourself or a friend who loves good coffee.I used the fine filter.

When using with the aeropress, you need to set it up such that you can add the coffee and water before covering with the filters. I add the boiled water to the coffee grains, and stir. Then I place the mesh filter into the aeropress filter, then I place the 2nd filter over so that the larger holes face me. This makes for a narrowing filtration for a perfectly fine, smooth coffee. Once tightened, but not too tight - enough to hold the filters in place. I wait a few minutes depending on the strength required. Then, I turn the aeropress over my mug, and press the coffee through.

Handy for travel when paper filters could get damaged or wet.However the mesh seems to let water pass through too quickly.

Bought these instead of paper filters, used them a few times and used both at the same time to double filter it, no problems with any coffee grounds coming in to the mug, easy to clean, really happy with them so far

I recently bought the Aeropress and compared to Moka pot, I found the coffee to be less flavourful. My assumption was that paper filter probably filters out the oils in the coffee which causes the result to lack the flavour I was looking for.So I bought these metal filters to test that theory. After using this I found the cup to be a bit muddy like what I get from my moka pot but it tasted better in comparison to paper filter.So, happy with the purchase

I use my AreoPress everyday at work and would power through the paper filters. These have been a perfect solution and I believe make the coffee even better.

Ended up using the coaser one as it seems a little more robust. More flavour than paper filter and some fine grinds in the bottom of the mug, not as bad as Turkish, but I will have that because the better taste

Allows fine grounds to get through.

Saves on buying filters every time.
