Quantum Marketing for a Quantum Leap
Quantum Marketing is a new concept, about which I had no idea. After reading Raja's book on the topic, I am beginning to understand the complex world we have landed in. The insightful elaboration of this concept has helped me start thinking on how I should be using my marketing dollars more effectively. The field of both B2C and B2B marketing appears to be heading into a tail spin and the trust factor appears to be significantly impacted. In this age of fake news, this appears natural and the challenge is for every business to determine how to attract clients, and to retain them - frequently competition is able to take clients away with convincing arguments and this book helps me start thinking on what I need to do to earn and retain the trust of my clients and consumers.Raja offers several ideas for my marketing team to develop and while this is NOT going to be easy, we at least have an idea of how to move forward. And, we have some tested strategies and approach to relate to. I am sharing this with my marketing team and others who help me grow my business. We look forward to brainstorming in the near future and hope it all works out as the world crawls out of COVID times.

Essential Guide for Business Transformation Leaders
As I was reading the book I was reminded of the famous quote from Albert Einstein - "Genius is making complex ideas simple". The book does a great job demystifying the challenges and opportunities of the emerging digital world. It takes us through a journey from the past to the present and well into the future and does it in a way one would explain to a grandmother. While making things simple, it not simplistic in any sense of the word, it is full of details experiences and ideas. It is by far the best practitioners guide written by a visionary practitioner, It challenges status-quo and provides a clear path forward with a call to action after each chapter. While the book brings to life the idea of "Quantum Marketing" and marketing as a catalyst for business transformation, the concepts and facts presented in the book are relevant to all business leaders. In my opinion the book needs to be in the reading list of every CTO, CIO and the CEO of every organization.

Very good book that spans the divide between technology and marketing
I am a technologist and this book seemed like a good read to understand what the business and marketing folks think about technology and the quantum leap effect it’s having in the world around us.I liked the up to date coverage of technology, the down to earth definitions and its relevance to marketing. The focus on technology as a force multiplier for marketing is very well covered in this book. The anecdotal examples from the authors life are a delight to read and relate to.The book is an easy read and I would highly recommend it to anyone trying to understand the impact technology will have on all aspects of our life and how businesses can leverage that to make marketing decisions to achieve quantum leap.

Fantastic insightful read!
As a non marketing professional but an hr leader who has partnered with marketing at all levels, this book provided me with fabulous insights that were so clear and written in a way that anyone can understand. As Raja points out in chapter 18 (power in partnerships) the partnership with hr and marketing are crucial. HR needs to work with marketing leaders to make sure their teams are well equipped as well a well trained and recognized for the value they bring to the organization. HR needs to be aligned with the CMO”s vision and mission so they can move in the right direction. This book was a great read and I am so glad I bought it!

Learned very little
I probably should have researched this book more before purchasing. It’s hard to figure out what it is even after reading it - although skimming near the end. It feels like a mishmash of technical trends. What does 3d printing have to do with marketing? Maybe someone who is in marketing and is unaware of tech/consumer trends will find it useful. There is a lot on the trends and less on why it means for marketers. Had high hopes to learn about the next wave of marketing and was bored through most of it and can’t remember anything I took away from it.

A must read for all marketers
I feel that for someone trying to learn the art and craft of marketing there aren't too many resources that share the knowledge from the perspective of a true practitioner - they get too theoretical. This book is incredibly helpful because it showcases the true thinking of someone who doesn't just theorize but does this for a living - traditional marketing models evolved into practice with the help of both cutting edge technology and nuanced cultural wisdom. There is a reason why the author Raja Rajamannar is a top-rated CMO - reading the book truly felt like a masterclass.

A must read for marketers
Raja nails it with his analysis on where the new world of marketing is going. His careful analysis of how we arrive at Quantum Marketing enables readers to assess the current phase of marketing their organization is in so that we can take action items to elevate our performance in the future.

Tech themes here aren’t new; specific CMO takeaways are intriguing
If you’ve been to CES or SXSW, even pre-pandemic, the tech themes that frame this book aren’t new. What is valuable is taking these themes, contextualizing them within the role of CMO and the broader organization, and providing a path forward.

Insightful message delivered from deep personal experience
I read this book with interest - especially from the standpoint of AI.Raja Rajamannar is the CMO of mastercard globally. The book covers many areas which are disrupting marketing - AI being one of them. One of the key themes is: "AI is the biggest game changer for marketing. How should marketers stay stay relevant in the field when AI increasingly dominate. The answer is that they should familiarize themselves with AI and better still master AI skills. CMOs should get their teams educated on AI and marketers should know how to leverage AI."I found the message to be insightful based on the author's personal experience and I suspect many marketing professionals and agencies will act upon these messages because the book is written from a standpoint of personal experience. In this sense, I think the book will have a significant impact in the marketing profession

Disappointing. Et tu, Brute?
The title was a dead giveaway, but I hoped to be surprised by the contents. Today, as marketing practitioners we are besieged by exaggerated claims and constantly shapeshifting buzzwords. Salesmen, masquerading as thought leaders, prophesize the death of marketing as we know it (yet again) and then blithely pitch their wares to resuscitate your business. And all of this is cheered by a gaggle of smug experts in the marketing echo chambers and fanned by a credulous press and self-congratulatory awards. Quantum Marketing repeats most of "what could happen" with AI, black-chain etcetera. Almost to balance out, has a section on Behavioral Economics, Creativity etc. It's poorly edited, some sections read like rambling thoughts dictated and put together as a book. Overall, lacks both a strong PoV and depth. The author may be great marketer, but a writer, he is not. As a global CMO, a brand owner and not an agency or consultant, this was an opportunity to remind all of marketing's strategic underpinnings & to not get distracted by fluff. To teach how to grow both brand and business, But in the end, all I can say is Et tu, Brute?

A decent read for all marketing folks
A good perspective on things marketers need to be prepared for in light of upcoming technological disruptions. More suited for B2C folks though it has a chapter on marketing to businesses. There's some fluff, butif you are in a marketing role, you will definitely get some value out of this book.
