Excellent hood, response time is excellent
Very well balanced, carries better than some hoods that are less than half it's weight. Hood auto darkening is adjustable, and also true color instead of the old green and black view like an older military set of AN-PVS-7's ... If you've worn them then you already know. Definitely recommend!

The right welding hood makes all the difference.
I'm a hobbiest welder and been doing it for years. From stick, mig and Tig.....seeing your weld and having no eye strain, issues with helmet and this new true color technology is fantastic. I would definitely buy another one. Super pleased, super fast shipping. I waited like 3days and it was here.

The positives: very good comfortable adjustable head band. Very light, the response time seems perfect - I haven't been flashed. The auto darkening works for better than my Miller Elite.I have not adjusted this hood (other than headband), so it works excellent for me straight out of the box.The negatives: it's light, so light it seems disposable, the viewing area is very easily scratched and non replaceable.I really don't imagine this will last long, but I am enjoying it for now, I store it in the cloth bag it came in, it works so good, I'd consider purchasing a new one - when this one gets scratched or falls apart. Ridiculously nice 4 the price
As a former welder by trade many moons ago i was definitely impressed. Head gear is comfy and wirks well. Ive welded and cut steel both daylight and night with this so far im happy. I love the shade adjustments along with sensitivity settings. Wish i had one of these at Jeffboat i think at that time 400 plus bucks was the going price. As a hobbyist diy weekend warrior i definitely recommend.

Never worked, no support.
I bought this helmet for Christmas and didn't need to use it for a few months. When I tried for the first time, I inserted the battery and nothing! Multiple batteries and lots of wiggling, shaking, and pushing later the only thing I was able to get was a very brief "low battery" light.Contacted the seller with no response. Very disappointed, I was really looking forward to using it.

Head band wore out pretty quick
All seem tobe fair except the head ban

Screen doesn't stay dimm for any welding
Bought this as a backup to Miller and almost died, the glare from the Tig arc wasn't even dimmed as I set the helmet to the same settings as my Miller and the damn thing didn't even flicker n stay on, more like a tack weld flicker, no matter what you set it too even changed the battery still did nothing. Even with mig welding it didn't switch n stay dark for that use, went in the sunlight to test the dimm feature didn't even work then. Nice style, look, weight n viewing area but no use as a real helmet. Get what you pay for. Maybe will use for grinds n other non welding tasks.
