Love our replacement!
This item broke upon literally sliding it out of the box. It is so cheaply built and I don’t even want to give it to my 8 month old. I have a feeling we would be getting more slivers out of it than anything else.Editing my review: the company was so wonderful to deal with. They sent me a new one immediately and the replacement has seemed to hold up for quite a while now. My 8 month old has loved to drop the balls in the hole over and over again. Good quality customer service!

Definitely encourages creative cause-effect play!
Great toy for a 10-month old. Red balls are eye-catching and invite play. Our granddaughter grasped the concept quickly, and learned the words "ball" and "in" (try two fingers pointing at the hole) along the way. She repeatedly plays with it and is experimenting now with what else can go in the hole, and learning which ones roll out on their own and which ones need to be removed herself from the coveted drop area. Great learning toy!

The item immediately broke.
Two of the boards set up to stop the balls on the outside of the box fell off. Even after gluing them back on one still came off again. This toy is definitely not durable; the pieces literally fell off before it was given to the infant.

Cheap very thin splintering wood
I returned it and got the other one on Amazon with 1 ball. It came with the edges not all the way sanded and there was praying and splitting on the corners that you could catch with your skin on it. I was worried that my son would get splinters. In addition to that the wood itself is pretty much a spin is cardboard and after any used it all the wood had indents in it from regular use by a seven-month-old. The balls themselves are painted and we're actually very smooth however after some use the paint was already chipping. All in all for the price I don't think it was worth it. We returned it and got a different one on Amazon that is one solid piece thicker wood and finished. Mich safer and will last a long time

Watch out for the dowels
My 9 month old loves this toy! He will sit there putting the red balls in over and over again. The only issue I had was when we first got it. The dowels holding the top and the sides weren’t secure. I didn’t realize until I saw him put one of the dowels in his mouth and eat it. If you get this make sure you glue the 2 pieces together before giving it to your little.

Great price just as advertised
Looks just like the picture. Real wood and comes with three balls. Extra balls are nice since they tend to roll out of reach for little ones.

Excellent quality and play value
Heirloom quality. My 7 month old grandson was instantly engaged. He watched the balls being dropped and come out over and over. The balls are perfect for him to handle. Next,he will try! Perfectly smooth,as is the rest of the toy. My daughter is thrilled. She can see the opportunity for play, experimentation, and the joy of balls appearing after disappearing. Great sound as well. Really well made. Durabilty and play value for generations.

Don’t waste your money.
It is very cheaply made. It broke within the first day of use with our 12 month old.
