Quality American made hammer
Tack hammer is balanced, well made and of high quality. The magnetic end is strong and the head is correctly formed and polished. I looked at numerous other foreign made hammers at box store outlets and a couple of hardware stores but I just couldn’t bring myself to buy any more “Chinese” junk! I realize that this hammer is expensive but like it or not you usually get what you pay for and this tack hammer is evidence of that.

Perfect
Well…I’ve had to teach myself how to spit tacks. Initially I was confounded by this hammer. I thought the bigger end would be magnetic. Duh. Anyhow…it’s just perfect. Hung twenty of these acoustical fabric panels in a historic courthouse. Going with tacks because that’s how the originals were done. Truly a great feel to this hammer…not that I have anything to compare it to (well I did buy a $5-6 one are menards for a coworker and I did pick it up once just to check it out and it’s junk…may as well be swinging a show heel at it it’s that clumsy feeling compared to this one) . I haven’t had to swallow cotton yet. As an aside…I ordered some of their blues tacks. First package that I paid a crazy amount of money to get shipped next day or something….this tacks we’re too small. Like almost not even a half inch like they were supposed to be. The next box which was supposed to be 11/16” were more like almost 7/8” or 15/16”. I sent those back. Now ironically I had to order hose again because one of the frames I have to tack to has a 1/8” layer of plaster over it. Anyhow…been spitting cheap China made blued non sterilized tacks from menards…not sure what I can catch from Non sterilized tacks….

Well built
My old tack hammer is 30 yrs & needed a new one. I do a lot of tacking weather strips on Container Lids made of wood. Got a good feel to it & balanced. It will last many years.

Good feel, not too light
Most of the tack hammers are imported and made very cheaply. This one is made in USA and has a little more weight than the imported ones. It has a nice balance and feels sturdy, not like a toy.

Great tool
My father was an upholsterer, and I grew up using a tack hammer often. But I've been frustrated with the cheaper versions out there. I'm a tech, and I work on printing equipment. I've learned to spend more on quality tools, and avoid the frustrations found in lower quality products.I love this hammer. I use it for personal projects, and I don't use it often ... but it works great when I need it. So I also bought one for a friend.

Magnetic end is magnetized.
Very high quality tack hammer. I looked for one at all the hardware stores and big box stores and couldn't find one that was magnetized. This one is and works perfect. Good fitting handle. Made in U.S.
