I replaced the motor, drive belt, and the guide rollers in my old Kenmore 70 Series dryer for $78 vs $400-$900 for a new dryer, or $300 for a refurbished one.

Instructions are fuzzy regarding motor removal and installations. I was lucky to find a U-Tube video to more easily walk me through that portion noting the impeller thread is left-hand and the plastic square flange is not that robust. Had the new parts for a month now and it's very quiet running. Saved a bunch instead of buying a new gas dryer. Took me about 1.5 hours to remove and replace - only because I spent 30 minutes of that cleaning out the lint from the impeller, cabinet and all controls and sensors.

The belt tensioner put some nonstick or oily spray in the pulley or it will start swilling it happened on both motors. the first one lasted about two years the tensioner is the weak spot it will break if you don't put somthing on it

It pluged right in and fits like the factory one. Works good.

Had to replace after 6 months. The dryer was use maybe once a week for three loads.

Everything worked except the belt tensioning pulley was not flat and the belt would not stay on. Had to reuse the old one.

Replaced the motor and she’s back to new! YouTube videos made this a pretty easy job, except that the YouTube plastic blower fan on the back was seized on good. Tried a bunch of tools to free it but had to remove it “destructively”. You should assume you have to do the same thing and get a new one when you get this kit.The only downside I’ve experienced so far is that the new roller is noisy. Maybe the stud is worn but it makes a rattle for the first minute.
