Another reviewer mentioned that this rug was orange instead of red in the product description. It's actually a terracotta with a definite Southwest flavor. The backing is an unusual ridged rubberized (?) pattern that is VERY non-skid unlike the usual non skid backing. I'm impressed. They provide detailed cleaning instructions. Fingers crossed for after the 1st time I need to clean it.

I wanted a door rug that could be laundered when needed. Very happy with material and detailed design. The corners have unraveled with washing.

Rug washes good. Beautiful color. I ordered 5, one of the rugs looked like it didn't have enough threads in one section. Instead of returning it I just put it in our back bedroom.

I bought this mat almost a year ago and it still looks amazing. It's been used through a heavy wet winter and lots of muddy shoes and it comes up as good as new just by throwing it in the washing machine on a cold wash and letting it air dry. It's quite big so I just fold it in half with the design on the outside and it fits in our washing machine. The colours and design are lovely and it's quality thick material and looks very expensive. Very pleased with it and I will be buying more.

I really like the mat, it's good quality and looks nice.People have said in previous reviews about it being creased due to being packed folded. This is true but I just folded it the other way to take the creases out.It's not as red as I thought ( going by the picture) but I am pleased with it

If you are wanting a bright or startling red colour in a mat, don't buy this one. In fact, I am happier with the colour as it is, a paler rusty red colour, than as is shown in the product description. Had there been a size larger I might have bought it, but on the whole it is doing a good job placed as it is at the foot of the stairs.
