BLACK+DECKER 4V MAX Cordless Screwdriver, Right Angle Attachment (BDCSRAA)

This is one of those tools that, while you don’t need it daily, when you need it most, it works great. Most times the normal straight head is perfectly useable. However, in tight spaces where the distance from the screw head or bolt head is restricted, the right angle attachment makes securing the fastener a breeze.

I am on my second BDCSRAA right angle drive attachment. The first had a pronounced binding once each revolution as the gears rotated. A call to Bosch customer service brought me a replacement which is much more acceptable, though still not as smooth operating as most of my Black and Decker cordless power tools. The great attribute of this gear box is that attaching it to the Black and Decker pivoting cordless 4 volt drill (BDCS40BI) 4-Volt Lithium Pivot Screwdriver) results in a very compact --straight handle or right angle, user choice-- powered screwdriver; the most compact such unit that I am aware of. I also have the Hitachi right angle 12 volt cordless driver. and an assortment of add-on right angle drive attachments. For truly constricted areas, the Black and Decker screwdriver and right angle attachment combination is outstanding in its access. As a four volt low cost tool it is excellent for light, intermittent duty. When I need it, nothing else in my tool inventory works as well. Recommended, and a bargain at the low cost.

Item will also fit Black n Decker Model BDCS50 ROTO-BIT screwdriver as well as Craftsman CMHT6650 Screwdriver. They are very similar aside from the cosmetic differences. I wasn't sure it would fit so I only purchased one, but after verifying it will fit these screwdriver models I will now get a couple more. Not for super heavy duty use for sure but great for tight spaces.

A little tricky to figure out how to attach it the first time you do it. But after that, it's the perfect little bonus for this power screwdriver. Sometimes a little job is a bit easier because of it, and sometimes it's the difference between being able to do the job at all. Always gets admiration from observers!

This is very helpful when you need to screw in something on an angle. It slips one easily.

Works as intended, wish it had a litter more torque.

I'm glad I persevered. The original shipment arrived in a non-descript box and was defective. I attached to the B&D driver, but it would not rotate as expected. I returned it. The replacement arrived two days later in a B&D labeled box and functions as described. Thanks, Amazon.

Ideal attachment for the small battery powered drill. It let me get into places I wouldn't have been able to read any other way. Well made and easy to use.
