These cutters work for wire or plants easily and (so far) without fail. There was a slight odor on the packaging and the tool - not sure if that's normal, but it wasn't too offensive.Tool Features:- Stainless steel with semi-hard plastic handles - handles felt comfortable. I like to tug on the handles of tools to see if they can be easily removed - MC-170's handles are well-adhered.- Overall length - 5"- Handle opening width - approx 3"Blade cutting surface length - 1/2"Blade is angled for flush cutting, very sharpHinge and spring are smooth - no binding whatsoever.If you have larger hands, it will feel small in the palm of the hand, but it doesn't take much force to cut the items for which this tool is made; fingertip grip can be used without a problem.Materials cut in the video:- It's not meant to cut steel, but I cut some electronic component leads, which are normally tinned copper-plated steel, without a problem. Also, the Amazon listing mentions beading wire, which I've read is normally steel. As long as it's thin wire, it should be fine, but I'm not sure how that affects the 3-yr warranty, 45-day money-back guarantee.- Copper wire up to 14 AWG - cut just fine. Would be great in some instances for cutting home electrical wires, car stereo installation, car wire repair, etc. in confined spaces.- Plastic up to 2.0 mm - not a problemOverall: I was impressed with the MC-170. It cut effortlessly, seems durable (although, I've only had it a few days), and I like the compact design for confined spaces.

This is a pretty good pair of snips, there is plenty of cushion on the handles, and the tolerances for the jaws are great. They were assembled with care, and will last a long time if they're not abused (by cutting thick or steel wire). I'm personally not a fan of the thickness of the handles, but others might be. I had no problem reaching into hard-to -get to areas to snip out plastic supports on a model, and the tension on the snips felt perfect. Overall, a good purchase!

I use these for building plastic scale models and they do the job better than the budget versions at the hobby shops, 2 for half the price of 1 and 3 times the quality. They have a very slim profile, a nice point, are sharp, and the blades line up and meet the entire cutting length .

I really like these cutters. They are very sharp, well-aligned, and cut well. The blades are ground flat on the backside, making flush cutting easy. I bought these to use for 3D printed parts, but would use them for plastic models or cutting floral wire and jewelry making as well. These are easily as nice as a certain name brand set I own that cost quite a bit more.EDITED TO ADD: I originally bought these as a "buy them, review them, we will refund you" thing, but immediately after reviewing, the company no longer responds to me. Now, I DO stand by the fact that they are good cutters, but if you're expecting to be reimbursed for a review on these, don't count on it. Yes, I know - I should have known better. Either way, I've got a good pair of cutters and I'm only out $7.

Love these! I’m using them everyday. I can’t believe I waited so long to get them. I’ve been using regular micro flush cutters in my wire and jewelry making like a heathen. I’m free!!!

At first these cut so easily and smoothly, I was thrilled!!! Then one whole tip went flying while attempting to cut a simple jumpring!!! Filed for and received a replacement... They cut well like the 1st pair until after few uses, they became extremely dull and would no longer cut easily or smoothly... I only used these for jewelry making purposes, cutting thin chain/jumprings, so the fact that they deteriorated in quality so easily without much use makes them NOT of good value or quality... Just submitted my return because these are practically useless to me... Guess I should have payed more attention to the low quality when the razor sharp tip went aimlessly flying with the 1st pair!!!

Great flush cutters, use these mostly for cutting the ends off zip ties and they leave nothing behind, also pretty clean cuts for copper wires

The blade from the cutter is very sharp. It could cut through my 8AWG solid core like butterThe handles are long enough so you don't have to exert a lot of force to cut the wire (Yay physics lol!!!). The cutter has built-in spring at the hinge so it will open up automatically when I finish cutting anythingThis is an essential tool for any electrical pouch

Rusting started after a month. Wasted

Nice and sharp, but blade edges are weak, easily dented. Ok for paper / plastic no good for wire etc.
